Bama shut down their running game and with the exception of a few lucky passes, their QB is pretty bad. Bama could’ve had 2-3 more picks.

Qe are trying to control the clock and keep the D off the field. Less possessions, using running game and short to intermediate passing game

I mean. But you sorta have to.
Yeah, I hear you.

And that has worked in the past against this defense. Going all out down the field out of nowhere has yielded good results at times.

I’m not saying doing so wins the game, but it gives us a better fighting chance. That was just awful play calling which in part, was due to the adjustments yall made after the opening drive.

Close scores will likely continue to be the norm.

I think it's important to remember that comparing current results to the days before the transfer portal and NIL is a faulty comparison.

Final scores should and will be closer in the league now, with far fewer blow-outs.

That defensive front is elite. They have a very good running back. They’re absolutely a good team.

I agree. We were markedly better than Mizzou. It’s a win and advance victory.

Yeah with the exception of a handful of elite teams and the occasional weird game that gets out of hand most top ~40 games are going to be competitive now.

They’re an 8-9 win SEC team that -

Had 2 weeks to prepare.
Caught Bama coming off 2 emotional games with another next week.
Were playing at home.

And they got beaten.

No, Bama didn’t play that well and Ty made some inexplicable/bad decisions - and they won a game that 100% would have been lost last year.

Other than injuries, it was a very good day.

Their schedule will keep them in the top 25. But don't think they are as good as Vanderbilt

They’re an 8-4 type squad.
