re: Milroe had, by far, his most pass attempts of his career against Tennessee. Why?

Too hurt to play, where is Simpson?

Milroe just crapped the bed, again.

I think Sheridan assumed he would hit 50% of his wide open attempts.

Or tuck the ball and run for 10+ yards which he had the opportunity to do multiple times.

Exactly, when you have a QB like Milroe, every pass play is a potential run play. When the QB thinks hes above running the ball, hes no different that trotting out a statue QB

When you got guys running WIDE TF OPEN all game!

Why not throw it?

The question you need to ask is why Jalen Milroe wasn't PULLED from the game?

That's the ONLY question.

I was questioning that as well.

This 100%. There were a number of times where Milroe could have run the ball, as well.

He is either injured or trying to make a point. He was not a dual threat QB last night. That's his biggest strength.

I doubt that the coaching staff is forcing him to be something he isn't. CKD has stated that you have to bend the playbook to the strengths of the QB. Not the other way around. It's against his philosophy.

If he IS hurt, I don’t understand not giving Richard Young some snaps because Young runs with authority and is very physical RB. If Young is also hurt, give Daniel Hill some carries, he’s a very big dude at 235 lbs.

Richard Young got hurt a few games ago, hasn’t played since. Daniel Hill was a scratch yesterday. Believe Miller got dinged too during the game, so all we had left were Haynes and the Freshman.

Milroe is not 100%

Seems pretty gimpy in this video during warm-ups yesterday. If he's got a leg injury and can't plant correctly when throwing, it could explain why he was more off than usual with some throws yesterday.

He's always walked like that. Here's Georgia;

LINK

He's got a stiff gait

Also off topic but the shedeur style videotaping pre-Georgia irked me

Milroe has said that he wants to be known as a passer. So a lot of the time he just refuses to run. He's being selfish and hurting the team IMO. He's more interested in showcasing his passing skills (which he has none) than being a team player.

Listening to a radio show this morning on the way to lunch and it seems the boog QB is running his own plays sometimes instead of what gets called in and has 'mater up in arms.

At least we aren't dealing with that.

It’s unfair to say (maybe) but Saban adjusted according to his personnel. There was an Alabama way, not necessarily a “system.”

Saban didn't run the offense, and our offensive attack looked quite a bit different depending on who did. Regardless, DeBoer is going to install the offense that he has won with throughout his career. He is still in his first year and has to build the team that he wants. If we are going to be a high-flying offensive team that chucks the ball around all over the place, it isn't going to help us bring in recruits that fit that system if we spend this year running the veer because that's what fits our current players the best.

It’s just poor coaching to throw it around like we were down 14 the whole game. 27 attempts in the first half?

He also had 14 carries for 11 yards. How many more QB runs should be in a game? twenty or thirty?

trying to make a point

Every qb in the NFL wishes they had wheels like Milroe. Except maybe Lamar Jackson and Daniels in Washington. Josh Allen would give a finger to be as fast as Milroe.

I don't get trying to prove you're an NFL guy by being a fricking statue.

If this is the case, then Milroe's IQ is lower than I originally thought.

And I hope he graduates. He isn't an NFL guy. He will get killed by the blitz at the next level.

I'm beginning to believe we will have to suffer through another year of him next season. He has to know his draft stock is plummeting with his play.

Jalen was concerned that his heisman stock had fallen and told coaches he needed to pass to get back into discussion.
