It's a fair point. But we don't KNOW that Simpson would have made the difference in some of the losses.

We DO know that Milroe was a DOMINANT factor in many of our wins.

Sure, he was weak/culpable in a few inexplicable losses.

I'm just saying: the Milroe era is likely OVER now. There were some pretty high highs. I think I'll remember him the way I remember Blake Sims. And maybe Hurts. Somewhere in that neighborhood. A baller, that didn't quite make it across the nattie line

I'd probably be more willing to get on board, if he hadn't proved be to charmin soft. Imagine Jake Coker not picking up a 1st down with his legs when it was there. Imagine Tua trying that slide tackle bs.

We certainly would have lost games with other QB's too. But, a lot of people will say Jalen won the iron bowl with that one play last year when, with a semi-functuning QB we would have been ahead at that point anyway. Those are the kind of takes that annoy me.

I don't hate him as a person, and I know he did HIS best. It's just that I hate his game and I think he's the softest Bama QB of my lifetime.

I think I'm right there with you.

But has he writ his name in Crimson Flame?

I think he has. You can't take Gravedigger from him.

I just like how the fire Wommack tards on here didn't realize he'd fielded the best scoring defense since 2017 and STILL want him fired.

Idiots.

He's been subject of irrational hate from a lot of the fanbase to the point of wild, unfounded rumors being thrown around about him

This has been my main problem with how we’ve treated him. Criticize his play when it’s deserved, but the unfounded rumors and personal attacks are just dumb.

It’s amazing to me that some people simply cannot stop swinging off Milroe’s junk. It’s absolutely astounding.

Blake Sims

Milroe isn't Blake. Not even close. Blake rode the bench for 4 years, was recruited to play RB, and took over a no win situation at qb. He truly did love Bama and I love him for it despite his terrible qb play. Milroe is a selfish jackass. If he had half the heart Blake did we're in the playoffs this year and we probably win a natty last year. Never compare the two again.

This. I don't like shitting on our own.

This is fair. I'm reminded of Coker leading and blocking. Or McElroy tightroping the sideline in the SECCG.

Once you get past hating him as the qb you can see his potential and enjoy wins

I'd show him grace if he played like he gave a shite. If he showed the heart of guys like Pavia for Vanderbilt or King for GT, I'd have a lot more leniency.

He plays with a nonchalant attitude, he started this stupid arse LANK thing, he does these cringey TD dances.

And he fumbles the ball more than any QB I can remember.

I'm sick of his sorry arse. Let him take his LANK merch, his entitled millionaire attitude, and hit the fricking road. Let him be a problem for some NFL team. We don't need him

You need to look in the mirror and evaluate some things. You're a grown arse person talking about someone like this. I just don't understand the hate by some fans. I'm not taking up for his play. I'm just saying that shite like this is just a bit over the top.

I don’t hate him, but he’s a not good at QB. Any supposed potential he had is fortunately done for us. Glad to see him move on.

Milroe ain’t bad if you want to come close and fall short every year. He’s basically the Mark Richt of QBs.

Somehow we got both good and bad Jalen today. I think t(e OC managed the run game much better with more called handoffs. As someone mentioned, he threw some absolute dime balls and he beat the D to the corner a few times. However, the int was a really bad throw. There were a couple of forced deep balls when the TE was running wide arse open, and of course the fumbles.

I’ll never hate the guy as he seems so likable with the public persona. I have no idea what to make of the rumors of locker room issues.
As a player, I couldn’t help but notice his limitations. Even in wins I always saw the weaknesses present. Still, he had some great wins and some memorable moments. I wish him the best, but hope that he has played his last game on Saban Field at Bryant Denny

Maybe it's you who needs to re-evaluate things.

Milroe is some random dude from Texas, who sucks at QB, has been paid MILLIONS of dollars to fumble away 2 seasons in a row. He'll end up making more money between 2023-2025 than you ever will in your entire life. He doesn't know you, doesn't give a frick about you, and here you are white knighting for him on the internet on a Saturday night.

Get a life bro. Once you manage to pay off your mortgage on your $300k house over the next 30 years, tell me how much you feel bad for him. I personally don't

I'm not white knighting.. I'm just saying that some of the criticism here is really over the top..like it's personal. It smells of jealousy.

To use your words, you don't know this young man, his motivation, or his attitude. All you know is what you see for 3 hours on Saturday.

Exactly, and anyone can see his attitude out there on the field.
How many times has he trotted out of bounds because he couldn't be bothered to put his shoulder down and gain another 3-4 yards?

How many times has he trotted out of bounds instead of throwing the ball away resulting in losing yards?

The dude doesn't care. He doesn't play with urgency, toughness, grit. Remember Tebow? The attitude Milroe plays with is the opposite of him

Ive never once seen him willingly put his body on the line for this team. Tonight he fumbled the ball because he refused to sack up and bulldoze a defender for a first down. He acted like a pussy, got hit from behind, and fumbled. That shite could've cost us the game vs a better team.

Like I said... You have no clue except what you think you know by watching from your couch. Maybe I'm biased because I hear how he is directly from people that have spent time around him. I'm sure he knows what he needs to work on more than anyone here.
