Those rumors have been all over for weeks. I don’t think this random guy had the scoop. He just throws stuff out there.

Also hearing Fleck, Dillingham, and Kelly along with the UW coach.
I could see B Kelly ending up there.

Freeman is sitting pretty right now. He can stay at Notre Dame and be a playoff contender every year going 10-2, move to the NFL, or wait for Ohio State. Michigan would be surprising.

Yeah I don’t see how the Michigan job is an upgrade from ND. You don’t have great in state recruiting at either job but I’d bet ND’s connections and NiL are better and a much easier path.

PSU rumors were from a message board that somehow blew up. They were never credible. DeBoer was never mentioned as a serious candidate from anyone that covers the program. We at least already know from the Michigan on3 guys they’re going to at least reach out to him and make an offer.
So we’ll see what happens but just pointing out this time the rumor has a bit more merit.

Penn St most definitely put out feelers as well. They struck out on a bunch of candidates before getting to Campbell.
Maybe he sees Michigan as a better job than PSU. I wouldn’t, but that’s just me. And neither are better jobs than Alabama.

Just a week ago DeBoer was asked about the Penn St rumors and said there has never been interest and he’s happy at Alabama and loves it here. Quick follow up on this: DeBoer was pounding the table saying it would be ridiculous to leave Alabama out of the playoffs(4 days ago), did a follow up press conference saying this will be a “different Alabama team” now that guys are healthy(3 days ago), and Courtney Morgan, a Michigan Alum who left Michigan to work for DeBoer, did a whole signing day victory lap of news appearances talking about the class and their process.
All of these things happened after the supposed flight from Detroit to Tuscaloosa and well after it would’ve been known to people in the know that Michigan was going to change coaches.

Take it as you will but there are unconfirmed reports that Moore was detained after going to his girlfriend’s house with a knife and threatening to kill her and himself.
