In modern college football(let’s say 1960) Michigan has one split national title in 1997 and one tainted title from 2023 due to cheating.

They won the 2023 title with a top tier coach because he was an alum. Michigan doesn’t produce a lot of top tier football talent and their main rival is about as locked in as they’ve ever been.

I don’t know that Michigan is a great job. I honestly think the Penn State job is a better job considering Pennsylvania has much more talent. DeBoer wasn’t interested in that job. I can’t imagine he’d be interested in Michigan.

Even if DeBoer left we wouldn't hire Kiffin. And frankly I don't think he'd come now if we did offer him.

This is true. We have to take into account the stupidity of our AD. After all, Mike Norvell was his top target when Saban retired. He'd absolutely be that stupid, again.

Says who? He put out feelers to 3 coaches, but DeBoer was the top target.

Byrne has made 2 major hires as AD. The greatest basketball coach in program history and a football coach who made the SECCG and Playoffs in his 2nd year.

Sad that she is a CFB poll voter.

Saw one guy on X saying that Michigan is finalizing a deal for DeBoer.

Then I saw it’s a reporter for Deadspin….sooo

He was the OL coach under Harbaugh, and a good one. Just mentioning that for no particular reason.

Deboer would be walking away from a fantastic recruiting class and next season where his roster will finally start reflecting his program and not the coach before him.

It just really doesnt make sense. He was eager for someone to ask him about Penn St to shoot that down...and from what Josh Pate just said, its likely that Deboer's agent already knew by then that Michigan would be opening up.

It wont stop blowhards on internet from trying to drum it up

Crazy that people were posting about it a long time ago. There was another guy I think I saw said something in November.
