They also think Justin Fields is a Top 2 pick. He's terrible.

Big, fast, live arm. That's all they see, and they think they can just teach him things like touch, pocket awareness, and decision making. It's the same mistake NFL teams have been making for decades and will never learn from.

saw a mock draft with him going 2...wow..his was borderline awful at throwing the ball yesterday. I was hoping our first game would match up with OSU but it will be ND as they dong want clemson and ND to pay again.

The same nfl teams that drafted Trubisky over Mahomes? Or Darnold over Allen?

It happens. Pitts and Toney are elite players.

Saban had an interview with the SEC network after the game he said in summation, they don’t like only rushing 3 but Florida forced them in it a lot, he said they tried to double team, funnel and it was mostly unsuccessful because the UF receivers are that good. He said UF was the worst matchup they have had all year and they knew it going in. Pretty telling.

our defensive scheme could have been better and put Malachi on someone else.

Why that would’ve been ideal, I think it easier said than done. Mullen moved both Toney and Pitts around to get the matchups he wanted. Toney was put wide on both sides, in the slot, and out of the backfield; Pitts was put on either side of the line and then split out occasionally. It’s hard for the D to get the matchup they want on every play, especially considering all the shifts and motion that Florida does prior to the snap in addition...

Kinda reminded me of how Kiffin would scheme to get mismatches while he was at Bama...

Whoever downvoted this is an idiot. Trask is a much better QB than Lawrence. Look at the numbers and throws. Trask managed to put the ball in places that Lawrence could only dream about. Lawrence just gets things in the general area and hopes the WR can make a play.

He’s fast enough to cover Toney. He’s not fast enough to overcome technique breakdowns against someone as fast as Toney. Big difference.

We already have enough Golding hate on here so I didn't want to beat a dead horse, but yes, our defensive scheme could have been better and put Malachi on someone else.

Have you ever played football? You can’t really dictate that matchup. The schemes are using those formations and motion to marionette the secondary and LB around the field specifically to target players on defense with mismatches.

Tbh I went and watched some tony highlights after the game and he really didn't seem very fast. Super quick and great and open space, but that was pretty surprising moore got beat deep like that

Bingo...by the way did Bama have anybody playing safety last night? 9 vs 11?
