Hanging out in the west coast = more soft and finesse. More of the same. Deboer is never going to understand Saban (alpha dog) toughness.

He is not Nick Saban. There is no other Nick Saban. Quit asking him to be someone he is not and let him be who he is and let’s see what he gets done. You can’t fake who you are. It’s disingenuous and the players see straight through it.

Hmmm. How does working out in California show a lack of any of those? It isn’t the first time players have worked out in California. A simple google search would have provided you with that information. Looks like Bryce worked out in 2022. In fact, it happened under Nick as well. So, does that mean we lacked it under Saban? Or are you just taking yet another chance to take a shot at a program that you claim to support. Of course, your post seem to indicate a person who has nothing but animosity to Alabama.

If you think asking for our players to demonstrate Commitment, Discipline, Effort, Toughness, Pride, the way you assume a person's loyalty is odd.

Let's see how that philosophy is working out for Smart…
-0 playoff wins in the 12-team era...
-A losing record against DeBoer...
-A grand total of TWO more regular season wins than DeBoer since 2024...
So yeah, let's fire a coach who's practically performing on par with "Saban’s supposed clone" and speedrun turning Bama into the next Auburn dumpster fire.
Good luck convincing yourself there's some obvious upgrade waiting out there as you aren't getting Cignetti.
Even Nick Saban in his final season was literally one play away from losing to four embarrassingly bad teams. You seem to forgrt even the greatest coach of all time was surviving a lot of games by inches near the end.
