JMO but Nick has looked no further than JP at this point. If this fails (10 days) he still has plenty of time for Phase II.

Is there a date that we may know more about JPs fate with the NCAA?

Maybe he's actually developed some of his own sources over the past few years, I wouldn't know because I muted his Twitter a long time ago, but Ricky Green's MO back in the day was trying to pass off stuff he got from pay sites as his own to build his cred as an insider with a few well timed wild arse guesses he hoped would pay off.

If Jeremy Proot hasn't figured out what asparagus is. I don't want him.

I like this idea, good one Warrior

I feel like you can't go wrong with Leonhard/Schumann as DC and Pruitt joining the staff

I feel the opposite. I don't want a DC who is familiar with any green vegetables.

I have no inside information whatsoever, but based on the timing it feels like Pruitt is the guy and we're just waiting on official sign-off from the NCAA on a show-cause (if one will even be assigned).

My guess is Pruitt will be named DC if he's cleared to coach. If he's not, I'm betting Schumann will be DC, because I don't think Leonhard would be willing to play second fiddle waiting on the Pruitt decision. I think Schumann would be willing to do that to get a DC role.

Heard something about him wanting to join the NFL coaching ranks

Pretty sure we can mark Schuman off the list

I’m good (better) with JP. Schumman probably has 1-2 years left at Georgia then he is a HC somewhere.

Reading the tea leaves… This process being so drawn out tells us that 1) Pruitt is the number one candidate and the program is working with the NCAA for clearance. 2) There is a pretty good chance that he will be the man, as obviously the program sees significant enough of an opening to invest substantial time and effort into clearing him as well as putting other candidates on hold.

And Pruitt would be the ultimate Bamer if he got Tennessee put on crippling probation before coming back to helm the Tide’s defense.

If Tennessee gets put on crippling probation Pruitt will be radioactive and there's no way he's hired by Alabama. I don't see a possibility where the NCAA drops the hammer on Tennessee without giving Pruitt a show cause.

1) It is reasonable to say that Pruitt has already served his time. He’s been out of coaching and without pay for two years. 2) If Fat Phil was involved, given that he was AD, they will get hammered good.

He would be enshrined in the halls of Bammer Valhalla for all eternity.
