He's just so bad at adjusting playcalling to compensate for the situation on the field.

By far his biggest issue. He calls plays like he still has a 6th year QB and national award winning OL like he did at UW

That I agree with. I have never seen a worse situational play caller in my life than Grubb.

My post was aimed at the “run the damn bawlll Pawlll” crowd even though I have preached until turning blue that in general we should be featuring the run more like Grubb did before he lost his mind in Seattle.

for the life of me, i cant remember ever seeing an oc waste, literally waste, first and ten plays. its as if grubb purposely throws away first down to prove he can operate a canadien football offense.

I have never once looked at Russell and thought of Milroe. OP is a troll.

He doesn't have the ability to scheme on the fly like kiffin or some of the other great OCs. And, without an even average running game, defenses can tee off on kellon.

damn ball” when we were playing with a cobbled together offensive line and then they bitched when we were getting 2 yards a carry. We really COULDN’T run effectively until the end of the game when A&M basically gave up.

I agree I am not a fan of Grubb. Just my opinion as a former OL no not at college level but when you have a young OL run blocking is easier than pass blocking mainly because you allow them to be aggressive. I think they can run the ball effectively if the OC and HC would actually commit to it. There were plenty of games when evenly matched the run game wasn’t clicking under Saban and some of our old OCs but they stuck to it and things started clicking. I don’t have my head in the sand and understand there needs to be changes but these idiots hate everything and everyone. Things have certainly improved from the last two years but it’s just not where we want it yet. This was a young team and everyone here understood that prior to the first four e games. Then suddenly Bama started playing joyless murder ball against teams that weren’t as talented. I get that but last year and the year before were weren’t doing that to any teams. Every game was close. Bama is beating who they should and outside of TN game are playing competitively against teams with deeper rosters like Georgia. We expected 3-4 losses prior to the season with a young team but after the first five games some of the fans expectations became unrealistic.

This is true.. Tons of hype !! Now its all excuses.. even from the announcers and analysts. They all say well hes just new and learning. At this level however, the "made for this" excuse will expose itself. Does anyone know what Russell's NIL pay is ?

There are folks who still live the lie that College Football is an amateur sport. They have yet to accept and/or embrace this new era of Collegiate, professional football. Well I've done both.

There are no grace periods any longer. There's no more of this "growing into the job" bullshite. Be ready to play at a high level. The millions being earned demand it.

Keelon Milroe is a grown frickin' man, who's making millions playing professional football, and just like his LANK predecessor, he only sometimes meets the requirements of his job description.

As a by-product of NIL and the transfer portal, a new and unintended agreement has emerged between fan and professional collegiate football player.

The football player gets to make hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars, and pack up and leave whenever he wants. And the fan gets to hold him to professional expectations and call him out for being shitty at his job.

I didn't create this dynamic, the players did. So with that in mind, frick Keelon Milroe. Don’t be a basic bitch. Don't throw two passes beyond the line of scrimmage for instance. Be the professional you were hired to be. If he can't do that, then he can hit the bricks.

I disagree. When we were in 13 personnel, we could run somewhat effectively. The problem is grubb can't stand to stay in this formation for more than a few plays. The online was cobbled together. If we stayed in that formation and did play action, we can build off of that

Not that it matters but personally I had Tennessee as a 100% L column game looking at the schedule before the season. Our defense keeps us in games but I figured Heupel would out smart us in that one. UGA I figured would be an L but based on deboer’s history against them I figured it could go either way. They’ve surprised me against teams like USC and even a&m yesterday. And even FSU honestly. I don’t know why all the sports books have had LSU as a 3 or 4 pt favorite all year. I think coming off an off week it’ll be a close game, and maybe since the refs have already screwed us so blatantly this season they’ll lay off it in BR. Having said that, Vandy and AU will be a problem. That puts us at 9-3 best case and 8-4 worst. Just my 2 cents.

I hear you but something people don’t think about is the other teams have coaches too that also can make adjustments to stop things we’re doing if we go to the well too many times with it.

The days where we or anyone else is going to be so much superior to everyone else to where we can simply impose our will on other teams and they can’t do anything about it are gone because of the wider distribution of talent caused by NIL and the portal.

Yesterday Bama ran the ball on first and second down multiple times with very little success.

Backup last year and almost to the end of this year.. Thats almost 2 playing years. You are aware as a backup that you practice with the 1's and have to know the plays just as well as the starter
