Jalen played a great game last night. He hit a few intermediate passes and went through his progressions. I’d still like to see him more decisive on when to bail out of the pocket. The young man has a cannon and will only get better from here. Oh and Nick Sheridan and DeBoer will have way more explosive plays than Tommy Rees. We now have an offense who can attack a defenses weaknesses.

That 2nd TD pass to Ryan Williams was such a good play by Jalen. Stood in the pocket, didn’t panic, and delivered a strike.

He’s the same player that he was last year. He is who he is: someone who has hit his ceiling.

if his ceiling is 5 TDs scored and a 374 passer rating, I'll take it

Hitting a cannon ball was never his issue, that was his bread and butter last year

The downside of scoring so quick last night is we never saw much of what he had to improve on. Wisconsin might be the best gauge in two weeks

My only gripe is he still seems to hold onto the ball way too long. That’s not gonna work against better competition, especially with Pritchett at LT for an unknown period of time.

This!!

Jalen might be the most dangerous player in CFB and he's only going to get better..
I for one am GLAD they he chose to stay here because he had PLENTY OF OTHER options, at the end of last year... He is going to be a TERROR for opposing coordinators.

If it gets bad my only thought is they’ll do more rollouts temporarily. The issue is that might work for a half against Georgia if we pull it out mid game and we’d be cutting the field in half every time.

I’m interested to see how Georgia learns from Michigan last year and how Milroe/OC adapts

I thought his deep throws were great because they weren’t him just waiting in the pocket for someone to come open. He was making a decisive read. Particularly on Williams’ first TD, he went from Bernard on the skinny post to Williams which is what caused the corner to sag on his deep zone over the top of Williams.

I wonder if Kirby will be stupid enough to put two spies on him again?

This thread is wild, some of these people are close to as negative as my dad. I left his house before the 2nd quarter

Sort of weird to me that you have so many posts in this thread reaching conclusions about his progress one way or the other based on nine passing attempts. I don't think we can really say anything at this point. I was pleased to see him running more decisively.

He did some good things but I don’t he demonstrated anything we didn’t already know he could do. I do think he was a bit cleaner at executing the deep pass. They appeared to be on time and within the play concept instead of him holding the ball too long but it working out.

I’d love to see Milroe hitting chain movers possession passes against USF.

This narrative isn't true. Nobody was calling to replace Tua or Bryce. Why? Because they were very good QB's. Milroe has deficiencies that are obvious to anyone looking at more than stats. We can win games with him, but he's nowhere near the guys I mentioned. THAT'S why he gets criticized.
