“He has really been a very good addition to our team,” Saban said. “He’s got great speed. He’s really a good receiver, good third-down back. He’s got great vision. He’s got really good burst out of a cut. I’m really, really impressed with what he’s been able to do. He’s smart. He picked up things. He’s an experienced player. He really does a good job of understanding what we’re trying to do and how we’re doing it, and that’s what experienced players can do.

“He’s done a really, really good job.”

He's going to be a stud but to win that award - especially with Young at QB and how our offense is now - he'll probably have to render McClellan a mop-up guy. Which he could, with Jace coming off an injury. But I could also see him getting to about 1,200 yards and Jace getting another 700. Which might be good for the team but bad for him getting individual awards.

The beat writer on jox said he has been the talk of T Town.
The thing that impresses me is how quickly he gets to full speed. Extremely quick feet.

Not to be too bullish, but if an explosive receiver emerges, we’re gonna be really really fricking good

I said from the day the season ended he was my favorite running back in the country and I hoped he entered the portal. Really do think he is one of the 2-3 best running backs in the country and his versatility as a pass catcher to match up with Bryce is going to be something to behold.

Adding Burton was huge, too, to have a rock solid safety valve option at all times. Takes so much pressure off the other guys.

I remember when he was in high School and some said his film was sped up so he wasn't that dynamic and explosive lol.

I've seen him play in person twice. He's gonna be at Alabama what Dalvin Cook was at Florida State. An absolute beast.

I was bummed when we didnt get him out of high school..... Glad he found his way here and is gonna make bryce and the offense more lethal. If we get consistency from the oline this has a chance to be an all time great team on both sides of the ball.

Robinson was a really solid player for us, but the lack of big plays in the run game last year was extremely noticeable.

Some might blame it on the line, but I think it was more a lack of explosive players back there, especially once Jace was hurt.

ESPN has our long runs as:

Robinson: 63
Williams: 55
McClellan: 27
Sanders: 20

I haven’t gone back to see what Robinson’s second longest run was, for example, but it sure doesn’t seem like he was breaking many 20 + yarders.

All this to say, I think we’ll see more explosive plays this year.

We need to show we have an OL.

OL on paper is really unimpressive compared to past groups.

Dude is an absolute stud. Once he has a lane he does NOT hesitate at all. He hits that shite hard and fast.

What? On paper they might be the most loaded position group on the team.
