Did you watch Pritchett get beat play after play by the quicker, smaller player?

I didn't say they were perfect, or even very good. Just that looking at the season from a full context, they are not quite as bad as it may seem.

When I bring on a new employee onto my team, they are getting evaluated from day 1. In fact, they are on a 90-day probationary period where there is a quick axe if they have red flags. If you don't think DeBoer and his staff are being evaluated right now by the administration at the Mal Moore Facility then you're fooling yourself.
Of course, but I would wager none of your employees have a buyout of $70mm. They can evaluate all they want, but the math, and its impact on the overall program, is a serious factor.

This is why you run an auto shop and not an athletic department with 40% of your yearly “revenue” in severance on one employee
DeBoer came in late, didn’t have the coordinator hires he wanted, and he’s on a slight learning curve. He’s flashed his ceiling, he’s flashed a floor, and overall for a first year with a QB that can’t run his system it’s not perfect but it’s not poor. This offseason will probably be telling depending on how we approach the QB/coordinator situation.
If this was Ron Zook trotting out a 2-10 record or something then yeah, I’d be with you. But this isn’t turnover worthy. You’d just be burning cash for no reason without a better alternative and putting the program in turmoil.

What do you want this board to do? Start making more threads? March over to the athletic building? You and the toddler tantrum crew just need to get a life

When a defense can play man for an entire game because the opposing qb can't throw AND STILL GET 3INTs, it isn't on the coaching beyond not benching said qb.
Defense gave up 17 (really 10) points while the offense turned it over 3 times.
The defense, once again, wasn't the problem.
IDGAF about yards or three man fronts on 3rd and short. It doesn't fricking matter how well your defense plays when the qb throws the ball to the other team 3x. Milroe looked like a true freshman playing in his first game last night.
How the frick are the coaches supposed to adjust or prepare for that kind of performance from a 4th year qb??

3 years, depending.
Be a fan. Enjoy the game. Relax. We'll be ok.

Software shop but precisely my point. I know he’s getting evaluated and there may be concerns amongst the administrators. However I also know their decision making is couched in some very specific circumstances that nobody other than big time college administrators can really understand.

I'm wondering how much of that was CKD and how much was Grubb, or a combination of both? Or that they just had a better QB?
Even with Grubb, he'd still be extremely limited due to Milroe's inability to read a defense.

Yep
We don't need another coach, we need a F magician.

Formby crashing out v. USF was disappointing for me because I had a suspicion that long term Pritchett would be a liability although in the short term it was stabilizing.

Yeah it's just not reasonable to have a coach on the hot seat after 11 games. That said, I do not expect him to last long at this point. It's not even that I think he's a bad coach. He's not. You don't win that many games if you're a bad football coach. I just don't get the impression that he's built for the grind of the SEC. You can't take a light week because you have a road game coming up against Stanford or UCLA where even your C+ game should be enough to secure a win.
I hope I'm wrong and this season is the product of a bunch of toxic shitheads in the locker room who will not be back next season, but I'm just getting a lot of Mark Richt vibes from DeBoer and Mark Richt would be a hell of a lot less successful in the current environment.
I'd agree as well BUT the only reason I've yet to hit the panic button with Deboer is knowing how dangerously close Saban, the literal GOAT, came to losing against three embarrassingly bad teams last year with this same roster, minus the likes of Downs, Arnold, Turner, Amos, Bond, etc. And the fact that Debeor did beat a team that absolutely whipped Saban's arse. He also beat Texas in 2022 and that's the season Saban was gifted a miracle with Ewers getting hurt.
Had we gone 12-0 with no close calls against South Florida, a 4 win Arkansas and Auburn, then yeah, I'd be sounding the alarm right now. But I'm willing to give him time to see how he fares once the shite heads are gone. Even if he had a Jake Coker at QB, I still think we're heading into the Iron Bowl with one loss.
But we'll see.

Formby isn't quick enough to take the position. He couldn't handle Mercer.
They have to go to the portal to get some OL help. It's not on campus as of today.
