Didn't the targeting take place the play before the PI? I can't remember

If so and called he wouldn't have been in the game for the PI.

Yes, targeting happened well before the PI drive. Bolden got away with murder last night - missed targeting, facemask, and PI.

We had a targeting on #1 and a face mask on Russell not get called in same series I believe. I was losing my mind............On a side note, Kirby is a puss. If he was a pilot, he'd fly with one hand on the ejection lever at all times.

Yea, how about a sideline warning, he is out on the field bitching at the refs every play.

The PI itself is targeting he hit Rico Scott in the head with his helmet. But we have to play better particularly on defense. We were putrid.

We gave up 20 points to one of the top efficiency offenses in the country and that is with them going 7 for 7 at one point if time throwing on 3rd down at one player (#5, Dijon Lee).

Our defense is actually very good. It was mainly one player

You know, I continue to see this argument about only giving up 20 points. We have a defense that cannot seem to stop air. Look at the stats of Gunner Stockton‘s passing on third down for all of you young kids. It is ridiculous that we cannot get off the field on third down. When we need a critical stop, we cannot get it. We gave up 455 yards to back up running backs and backup wide receivers.

Our defense is opportunistic and wants to cause turnovers.

Tell me, how many yards and points do you think uga scores if BAMA covers all those fumbles and they don't reverse that INT by Reese? The ball bounced insanely in uga's favor. Not to mention the 3 MAJOR penalties the refs didn't call. All those drives ended in 0-3 points.

And you're talking about yards.

yards don't show up on any scoreboard, points do. bama's d held then to less than half their normal point total. that is ckw's defense.

i will say this. #5 needs a position change, safety or maybe even lb'r like a lemanski hall type.

If we had someone better than #5, they'd already be playing. Maybe by next year with portal additions......I think its like some of the defensive positions the past few years, we got what we got this year.

Carmelo was playing a pretty damn good game and should get a serious look at starting against TN. Edmonds due back soon too.

That’s a name I haven’t heard in a while. One of the most underrated players on that 92 defense

I really think Kriby influenced this game by his constant badgering of the refs to call a penalty on Alabama every play while every potential penalty on Georgia he was jumping up and down in the refs faces. This kind of conduct does not work for every play; however, it is effective at getting some calls, no-calls, in his favor.
I give you no better clear evidence than the retracted time out, "no I was just clapping:" from last year. He clearly called a timeout and then retracted it when it benefited him more, and he convinced the refs!
He also criticized the refs after the Texas game two years ago and said "they tried to take the game away from us!"
Was anything done about that?
The SEC needs to create the "Kirby rule" which would penalize a coach with a 15-yard unsportsmanlike penalty for repeatedly trying to influence the refs during a game. Maybe they have that in the rulebook already but are scared to death of Kirby and won't enforce it.

No sir you are incorrect. Number 4 clearly hit RCW with his helmet on the play where RCW was injured. He was concussed on that play.

Number 5 is struggling so bad right now and he's such a liability out there. He's lost all confidence. They need to get another guy ready and let 5 sit for a while or change positions.

Yep, he looks like; and is a crybaby. He does constantly bitch about something to the refs.

And the SEC is pissy about the fans (students) throwing stuff on the field but aren't going to anything about the corrupt refs?

I don't condone throwing anything onto the field, but now if you hit one of the refs I'm thinking he had it coming.

cant have been too putrid, they only scored 20, by far their lowest output of the season, and if some of those numerous forced fumbles bounce our way or those called back ints stand we win the game, outside of the horrendous no calls.

Listening to talk radio. I am flabbergasted at the number of people who think the Bama no calls are no-biggie. All part of the game and Bama should just get over it. I am as mad at this game as I was the Tenn game a few years ago where the phantom PI came out of no-where that cost us the game. .
