If a new Head Football Coach was needed after 14, who do you think we would get?

This isn't a "Who do you want", this is who you think we get. Do we promote Kirby to HC? Hire someone else?

Obviously when we do the who do you want threads, we throw around names such as Jimbo Fisher or maybe even Chris Petersen/Gary Patterson. Big time names. But if Coach Saban left after this upcoming season, assume it's another National Title, who does Bama hire?

If I had to pick one coach to take over after Saban? Sumlin with Kirby as DC.

You're not picking who you want, you're picking who you realistically think would be hired.

Sumlin w/Kirby as DC would be scary though.

I don't know that much about him other than his Pelham ties. What specifically is everyone's objection?

David Shaw. Pull him out of Stanford

He did say he wanted Stanford to be the Alabama of the West Coast. I would say he's done a good job of that.

Kirby Smart would be the obvious choice. If he declined I believe the choices would be those with Alabama/Saban ties; then Bama ties (former player turned coach) and lastly someone who is a Saban protégé.

0% chance of that happening.
