Perhaps he'll now actually give his credentials for being a US Senator beyond God, Guns, and Trump.

I saw a political sign today that literally said "Pro-Trump. Pro-Gun. Pro-Life" above the candidates name. That's all you fricking need to get these rubes to vote for you.

Yeeee Haw... Hell Yeah Little Buddy.
I’ll fur up the ole general lee and me and you can go do some doughnuts around the ole planned parenthood parking lot.

After dat I gotta pick up a load of corn licker and make a run to huntsville.

In other words... What’s wrong with being Pro-God, Pro-Life, Pro-Gun or Pro-Trump?

Yes...I’m one of them rubes you speak of. Deplorable, Irredeemable and yes I’m a Infidel also. Proud of it.

What do you believe in. Killing defenseless innocent life, Illegal immigrants have more rights then American Citizens, Defunding Law Enforcement, Open Borders, Letting China take over the world.

But it’s your god given right to vote for whom ever you desire, your welcome.

But it’s also mine... and I earned it.
Have a good day sir.

Yes, quiet back bench kind of personality. That is why I said "step up". Not sure if he has that in him but he has to show it in the next 6 to 12 month if he wants to make the leap. The other 2 options / back-up plan guys are about 5 years older than I would prefer. Their time in the senate would be limited to only a couple of terms at best and not get them to a power position.

1. Pro-God. Different people are entitled to interpret that in different ways. For example, some Christians believe that capital punishment is an abomination. The Trump administration executed two murders in the last week. I don't want anyone dictating to me what is and isn't pro-God. I don't know what God you worship or what you believe about him.

2 and 3. I'll give you those.

4. Pro-Trump. I'm not pro-any person. I'm pro-issues. I'm still waiting for the Trump who promised that he would lock her up to show up.

Well no one is stopping you from being religious, no one is forcing you to get an abortion, and no one is taking your guns away. Congress doesn't have the power to enforce any of that and the Supreme Court has said so time and time again, so those issues simply are not very relevant. You are free to be as pro-God, pro-life, pro-gun, and pro-Trump as you want. Tuberville is a snake oil salesman running purely on wedge issues because that is what wins these days. That's all it takes anymore. When he gets to DC he's going to serve as a loyal foot soldier to the party, but will do absolutely frick all as a legislator because he doesn't have a clue how. He has no original ideas, and no policy goals.

Is there any chance we can not make these threads a common thing?

Hahahahahahaha I love this frickin website and this board. The OP and the second post made me laugh my arse off.

On a serious note I’m truly astonished Tubbs beat Sessions. That is damn near a political miracle. Jeffrey Sessions is Republican establishment to his very core. It also goes to show how much Alabamians hate the Washington DC swamp that we voted for a guy that beat us six years in a row and rubbed our noses in it.

I hope Tubs beats Jones, but I’m not sure he needs to debate

I wonder what Shelby thinks of Tuberville.

Mo Brooks is probably running for Shelby's seat.

Because he's already probably the best senator Alabama has had in my lifetime.

I’ll vote for Brooks. Shelby is just collecting a check at this point. We need term limits

Cognitive dissonance shows the soul dies in the process. Basic human rights are a bridge too far.

The story of the good samaritan is a fairy tale.

I listened to one of his interviews early on and he came across as both condescending and uninformed. Like he was running for homecoming queen, not the senate. His whole platform was basically, “Trump likes me, so vote for me”

I will be shocked if Gary Palmer doesn't run for Shelby's seat.
