He’s definitely more fearless and has the ability with his legs. Mendoza is a pure NFL quarterback.

I like our chances too. And I said this to some of my Alabama fan friends before the Oklahoma game if we won and they thought I was crazy. This team needed confidence in themselves after the Georgia beat down and now they have it. I also think we are more physical than they are. Maybe not as talented offensively, but we are on the defensive side.

There is a pick six in that score also. We adjusted some on offense during the game.

well yeah 24 was the what the offense basically generated without a layup. Impressive against this team

All that said, its still difficult to determine how good IU really is relative to the rest of CFB at this point...until Jan 1

Their identity is defense, QB and WR

If we cannot consistently put pressure on their QB and throw off their WR off route, it will be an easy IU win.

If our defense can generate pressure and OL can hold up, we win.

Their defense is good but not at SEC level ... so its all upto Wommack I feel

We are going to win.

Also Indiana went all out to win that Big 10 championship game against a team that wasn’t all-in. I’m pretty confident Ohio St held some things back for the bigger prize and the next month will show that.

I think Bama comes out strong. Indiana hasn't played in a while. Bama got the rust off in the First Qtr. All teams that had a bye last year lost.

IU based on the adjusted metrics

Yeah I think OSU is very good...

That said, there was not near enough crossover play amongst the mid teams of the conferences

I know in the past it has always been that comparing same opponents didnt really mean all that much, can't remember the saying but basically that the stats aren't comparable.

But with today's metrics, is this still true?

For instance, Bama, IU and tOSU have all played Wisky. Bama played them in Sept @ home, tOSU in October @ Wisky and IU in November @ home.

Rush stats, pass stats, defensive stats, QB stats, and score are all very similar. I didnt watch the tOSU or IU games vs Wisky and see it was a different Wisky QB in all 3 games.

I get IU and tOSU are really good teams, I watched the B1GCG.

But is it safe to feel that neither team is really that much better than us based on the Wisky game stats and advanced metrics?

With almost 2 weeks off are we expecting any meaningful improvements on the injury front? I know this late in the season everyone is banged up and that’s just part of it but just curious if anyone will be closer to 100%.

Indiana is #1 in lost fumbles this year. Defense just need to generate +3 turnover margins. Do that, and jump into a lead that's 10 points and higher and we win easily.

Indiana has never been down by 10 points this year. They have not faced adversity. Alabama needs to create uncomfortable situation for them.

They're a good physical team, but I sometime wonder if they played TAMU, Georgia, Alabama and Oklahoma 4 weeks in a row, how would they fare?

Indiana is 72nd in the 247 talent composite, 18/18 in the Big Ten. If we lose, it will be because we were outcoached. That said, Cignetti may actually be the best coach in the country. On paper, it's almost impossible to explain how he has gotten that roster to go 24-2 over his two years there. It's one of the most remarkable achievements in college football history.

Some of our guys weren’t even 100% against Oklahoma. The extra should truly get us to 100% on available players.

I don’t take any team lightly. Especially one that is well coached.

With that said, one thing we have going for us. Alabama is absolutely battle tested. We have been through the absolute gauntlet. Oklahoma has one of the best defenses in college football. We have seen the best players.

If we lock in, we can beat anyone.

Look at the schedule that Alabama has played. Georgia twice, Oklahoma twice, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, LSU, at Auburn in prime time, at Florida State. Our schedule has been a beast. South Carolina was a battle and even though they’re not very good they have a tough home field advantage.
