I can certainly point you in the right direction. While we are on the topic of Ticas, Costa Rica is easily the country in Central America with the most attractive women (it's shocking, really), and it might be second only to Brazil and Colombia in all of Latin America. Venezuela doesn't county anymore.

To any of you young bucks looking to settle down with a beautiful, educated gal who wasn't soured by the extreme feminism of the US, look no further than Costa Rica. The women are hot, the men are not, and the women are looking for something else besides Ticos because their culture is still dominated by male chauvanism. It's called "machista" and the women hate it.

Find a good, educated Tica, treat her right - open doors, hold umbrellas, fix stuff around the house, etc., like a good Southerner should - and she'll love you forever. She also might look like a Victoria's Secret model.

Notice, I've repeated "educated". Come down here and frick with an uneducated chick and she and her cronies will take you for every last dime you've got and leave you stranded, and maybe killed. Don't be an idiot.

I have a friend at work from Costa Rica. I'm interested in the country bc of their healthcare. I hear American doctors are moving their bc they have more freedom. I'm always trying to expand my international contacts.

Bet both of those things change considerably in the next few weeks. I can't imagine a scenario in which Bama runs less than 30x in each of the next several games.

Costa Rica does a really good job of protecting the jobs of its citizens, including doctors. I can tell you that there are very few US doctors coming to CR, and if they do, the have to practice in the middle of nowhere, because that's what the gov't needs from foreign doctors.

Don't believe everything you hear.

If you have any questions about the healthcare system, I'd be happy to answer them. Overall, they quality of medical care is very good and much more affordable than the US, but there are 2 systems - public and private. The public system is good for non-time-sensitive stuff. If you have a serious, time-dependant malady and must use the public system, good fricking luck. Death comes quickly in that scenario. But if you have the means (or the insurance) to go the private route when time is of the essence, the system is good.

But yeah, everything is much, much more affordable, from medical care, to drugs, to insurance. Insurance is a decimal point cheaper, and comes with less fine print. Generally speaking, you'll find most of the world has much better consumer protection than the US.

EDIT: The public system is taxpayer funded and free to patients. I got a cyst removed from my lip for $0. It took a year and a half, but it was free.

In El Sanchez, your barber is your doctor. Mine gave me a trim and a bleeding for the price of an American haircut.

You can also pay your deductible with livestock.

I'd love to play along, but I don't get it. There is no "El Sanchez" in CR. "Sanchez" exists, but it's an eastern suburb of the capital and is basically first world like the rest of the Metro area. Rural parts, sure, but it's a normal place with normal medical facilities.

If your "El Sanchez" is in another country, carry on.

An interesting interpretation....so if a tree falls in the woods and nobody hears it, then it actually didn't(italics) make a sound.
