I would be shocked if he did redshirt at this point. If he was going to redshirt, they picked 4 terrible games to play in.

I’m enjoying this moment in BAMA football - we have never had a qb like him. I wish it would never graduate.

The part that really pisses me off is that we wasted 14 games of Tua, and he came in halftime of the 15th game.

The upcoming Texas A&M game should be his 19th start, not his 4th.

I love Saban, and he is the GOAT, and I appreciate everything he’s done for Bama, but in 2017 I will NEVER understand Hurts over Tua, Foster/Sims over Jeudy/Ruggs/Smith, Womack over Leatherwood/Wills, and Hootie over Deionte.

We won the title because it wasn’t too late when he finally made the switches, but they all should’ve been in the whole season.

You're watching a kid that is going to rewrite every Bama passing record there is.

Maybe if he ever plays a whole game haha

How were the 4 games terrible picks? If you ask me, it’s the only 4 games he’d be able to come in and actually make a difference and gain confidence.

You think he’d put together a good drive vs LSU? Please.

You want him taking another snap in an Iron Bowl? No thanks, I’ve seen enough of that.

You want him in vs Georgia so he can try to gain 22 yds in a half instead of 21? I’ll pass.

Saban likes him, so put him in games with Bad D’s so his athleticism can make a difference. Coaches have good tape now & he can transfer whereever he’d like.

Being as he has only lost two games, a good leader , tons of experience and has beaten those teams, hell yeah I would rather have him in if needed over Mac Jones who has never done anything in a game but hand off in mop up duty

I bet I’ve watched YouTube highlights of the Louisville, Arkansas St and Ole Miss games over 100 times combined so far. I’m trying to savor it all. Even watched John Doe’s vids several times over.

What a time to be alive.

Try thinking about it harder. It's actually pretty simple.

A lot of teams would love Jalen as their starter. He is a quality backup and luxury right now at Bama. He has improved this year as well. God forbid Tua gets hurt but we can win with Hurts

Tua is 3 games into his 2nd Season.

Lots of Tua left to watch and marvel at.

Tua is a transcendent QB.He's on another level than any QB that I've paid any attention to in my 57 years.

eta:No way Jalen Hurts Red Shirts. He wants to be with this Team the whole ride. And props to him for the way he's handled it.Look at all the QBs transferring. Some play at 3 Schools(Blake Barnett) and never are really part of a Team.

Foster/Sims over Jeudy/Ruggs/Smith

Both Foster and Sims made NFL rosters so it's not like they weren't good...just didn't get the targets...

Womack over Leatherwood/Wills

Womack graded out fairly well in most games last year...and while Leatherwood was awesome coming in as a replacement in the CFPCG, he came in for Jonah Williams (injury), not Womack. Now that Leatherwood and Wills have been in the system a year and are established on the line, think it'll be hard for Womack to break back into the starting lineup unless there's an injury...

If the great poet Lord Tennyson were around to day he would write:

"Tis better to have had Tua and won than never have Tua at all"

Good god man. We won the natty and you are all worked up about last year like we went 5-7. Chill out and enjoy the present.

Tua vs. Hurts 2017 remains very divisive and detrimental to the quality of this board unfortunately.

This week Tua plays 90% of the time. A&M in for a long day.
