thanks Boz, I wasnt really doubting it. just bringing another point about Jalen's demise. Having to prep for Sugar and knowing that Tua was getting prepped too, then to really struggle in the CFB and watch him shine. Great for team, but terrible for self esteem. Not surprised he has seemingly lost it and is striking back. Not in his best interest because the clutter is not tolerated in the Saban arena.

No worries! Was just saying what I knew at the time. There was a lot of people saying a lot of stuff. Tua took half the reps most of the time for prep. Jalen didn’t do bad against CU IMO. He played ultra conservative though.

This could be interesting especially since he is competing for the job. Sounds like a bad time to miss a meeting

It could be interesting? A lot interesting I would say. Could be something, could be nothing but as a prosecutor would say, there are no coincidences. It is almost certainly related to the interview in one way or another if true.

I understand what you are saying about Coach Saban being forced to open it up and he has actually done it before, but I still worry he may fall back on the defense as a matter of course. Tua will give you heartattacks.

Jalen is an important person to have on the team this year. To me it seems odd how far some people are running with this.

Sorry but I have to disagree with this especially when it looks like his attitude has soured. He is our third string quarterback imo and I think we wouldn't miss a beat if he decided to leave tomorrow. That isn't what I want to happen but it's the truth.

Unless what he has said has changed things recently, he is most likely the 2nd string QB. You are entitled to your opinion but it is most likely not accurate. If his attitude has soured it is possible that a conversation with coach can unsour his attitude. You have seen him operate for 2 years now. It is hard for me to understand why people are taking this as a permanent behavior change with no willingness to see if things can be resolved.

I believe you are correct that we would likely not miss a beat if he leaves, but a committed and positive Jalen Hurts makes us a better team if he is here. I feel we are capable of getting that back. Many others want to discard a person who arguably has been one of the best representations of Alabama for 2 years for what I feel is at best a minor transgression. It is one thing to say if we can't talk and get on the same page we should part ways, I can understand that. But to just toss him aside because of this seems like a gross overreaction.

I think Coach Saban believes in second chances for people who have had way worse character trangressions than an interview that went sideways.

I haven't kept up with these threads because, frankly, I think the writing is on the wall and I don't want to read opinions over and over. So, this may have already been posted, but:

I really hate the phrase "speak your truth." I'm with Ben Shapiro on this when he says that there is no such thing as "your truth." There's just one truth. Everything else is window dressing. When people speak about their truth they are generally speaking about some falsely perceived reality.

We are a much better team with Jalen. If we lose him, I don't think we are in any sort of precarious position because Mac Jones is serviceable and my even surprise some folks. No one wants Jalen to leave and we all respect him. A few mouth breathers get bent if Jalen says anything slightly controversial but that is just noise. Jalen is still a young kid and in a pressure cooker situation and he has never really faced adversity or failure before......so I give him a break. the parent on the other hand need to stop chiming in and making it worse.

If Tua goes down with an early injury, Jalen has already proven he could still lead us to the play-offs...I like Mac Jones and think he'll be a good QB down the line, but I don't think our play-off chances are likely if he's pushed into the starting job early this season...

I think both parties (Jalen Camp and fans) are being overly emotional.

As someone who has been critical of Jalen since mid-season 2016. He is a good kid. Hope he lands somewhere/figures out shite soon.

Yea, I'd much rather see Jalen who is a proven QB playing on the road against Ole Miss or LSU than Mac Jones.

Mac Jones won't see the field this year unless one of the other two transfers or has a season ending injury.

I was hoping #2 would stick for this season because you need a solid backup player at QB. This distraction will be over by Friday one way or the other and one Nick Saban will be the person that ends this distraction. With that said I am way more interested in if/how much #13 can improve going forward. He did look good in the spots in A-Day last year as well as those games in 2017. If he in fact hasn't topped out on his ability Bama is in good shape regardless to what happens with #2.

Yes.

Some people think that because saban was caught on a hot mic criticizing hurts and praising jones during the spring game, that now jones should be our 2nd guy behind tua.

Unlike you, those people aren't thinking things through.

Don't be surprised if Mac Jones gets all or most of the mop up duty. Hurts will try to keep his redshirt intact if he doesn't win the job.

The only thing i'm fairly confident in is jalen finishing the season. His role on the team though until that happens is a guess but like you, i wouldn't be surprised if that happens at all. In fact, purely from a practical standpoint, maybe it should?
