She has a point, it is hilarious the same people demanding teenagers (not just Jalen) show self-control when speaking, playing and living their adolescent lives..... turn around and cheer Trump when he goes on one of his unhinged rants which undercut any good he's trying to actually acheive.
It's so obvious when you like the person you're okay with them doing whatever.
When you don't like them you're looking for any reason to support your hatred.

This is why I don't watch News channels.
Their homerisms are so blatant. FoxNews is pro Trump/anti Obama, and all others are the exact opposite.

Trump has absolutely nothing to do with this. A lot of people like Trump and a lot do not. Totally irrelevant to Jalen at Alabama.
I'm not gonna jump on Jalen like most because I still appreciate all he's done but, Tua getting hurt in the spring was probably bad for Tua and Hurts. It probably gave Hurts the wrong idea that he was gping to be the man again.
If Tua doesn't miss the spring, he likely outshines Hurts and Hurts probably leaves and goes to an FCS school like Sam Houston State for a year.
But, there is a lot of frustration going on and I want to see how Jalen responds publicly when he cools down a bit.

You're missing the point.
It's about homerism. She was right and the downvotes to my post only support this.

no she wasn't. people haven't shut up about trump since he announced his candidacy. in fact, in the last 2 years he's probably the only person i've said worse things about than jalen.

People didn't shut up about Bush, Obama, Clinton or any president.
The irony that now all these snowflakes are sensitive to people insulting this president has never been lost on me.
The reality of the matter is still the same. People defend who they like and are quick to trash who they don't. Jalen is not liked and people have been looking for reasons to trash him.
I don't want him as our QB, but it doesn't mean I have to hate the guy like many of you pathetically do (but will deny).

Before yesterday, there weren’t many people that “hated” Jalen.

Wow, Jalen didn’t say anything controversial. He vented to the media and still found a way to makevit respectful. Jalen has played his heart out for Alabama, going through a slump of confidence doesnt make him a bad person.
We will see Hurts play significant minutes this season and he will do fine. I think Tua and Jalen and both good quarterbacks

Not sure how he cam to that conclusion. Mac Jones looked better than Jalen.

My thoughts on the matter.
Really not too concerned with this until I hear what Saban says and get some reports about how the team responded. If Saban is ultra combative and it sounds like the team is picking sides then I'll worry.
I understand where Jalen is coming from even though I don't like the way it was handled in the media. The narrative was Jalen would transfer if he lost the job and no one spoke up and said that he wasn't even though, according to Jalen (with the caveat that this is true, and I have no reason to think other wise) the coaches knew he was staying. That does color the way people look at you. It is hard to win a team if they think you are leaving if you don't win the job. Even if Saban had said Jalen told me he plans to stay but you never know what will happen, that was better than him saying he didn't know what Jalen will do. Yes his father said what he said but Jalen is in no more control over what his father says as he is over what Coach Saban says.
I think he handled the interview poorly but I also believe he just wanted to convey he didn't have plans to transfer and he gave out more information than he intended. He seemed overly anxious to tell his side of the story and, unfortunately, it blew up on him. That doesn't change that what he said may have unintended consequences in the end.
I don't agree with the idea that this is big time college football and no one should talk to you about your feelings or what is going on, especially when it is an elite QB. Regardless of how you feel about Jalen and Tua, Jalen is a player who lead you to two National Title games and would be your back up QB at worst this year. You need to be concerned with where his head is at. He is one of the most important people on the team. He is also from a generation that always ask why, that is not going to change whether you believe that shouldn't apply to football or not. It has been obvious his football mind, and in turn his personal mind, has not been right for awhile. The Jalen we saw at the Spring Game was not Jalen. By no means is he perfect but he is a way better QB than what we saw. Not addressing this with him was a mistake and may end up hurting the team in the end. We are better with a fully committed Jalen on the team in whatever role.
Jalen also has a responsibility to come to the coaches by the way, but he is still only a 20 year old. They are going to make mistakes on how and when to approach people about how they feel about a situation.
Hopefully this will lead to a sit down and everybody can get on the same page. That conversation seems long over due. Then Jalen and Coach can address the team and we can all move forward.

You must not read this board or the rant. All this did was finally give them the reason they have wanted to make it personal and not just because Jalen sucks at QB.

I know hating on Alabama fans is your thing, so its no surprise that you’d build a strawman argument like that.

The same way I know hating on Jalen is popular here and only gave people needed ammo to validate their personal feeling toward him.

This is just dumb and uninformed. No one "hates" Jalen.
