Tons of rush yards, solid pass efficiency numbers, no turnovers.

That's a good recipe.

I read he's responsible for 7 touchdowns and no turnovers. That's pretty good

Hurts has ZERO turnovers!!! (Knock on wood). That's the most amazing stat to me.

His ball security is much better this year. He fumbled so many times last year and I don't remember a single fumble from him yet in 3 games, despite having a lot of carries.

His runs look great. Seems to be more patient in he pocket and when he runs has really good vision. Last year when he scrambled it appeared he had no idea where he wanted to run half the time now he looks to have a plan every time.

There was one run last night that I swear he was gonna fumble on contact, but he held onto it.

He definitely looks more confident carrying the ball, which is crazy considering how electric he was in 2016. He knows when he can pull away for the big gain.

So fun to watch him grow as a player...

I don't put a lot of stock into this stat this early but wow. He was good for at least one turnover per game last year so this is wonderful. He also has nice touch on his passes this year. He is on his way to player of the year again and look for his passing stats to get even better when SEC play starts.

shite if he can just make quick accurate throws like he did on his two TD passes, our receivers can do the rest. I love Hurts for the most part but his deep ball has not improved as much as I'd tnought. Still he almost always over throws the receivers and the great thing about that is that either our guy gets it or it's incomplete.

It's only when he holds onto the ball too long that I get frustrated because he just needs to throw it away every now and then. When he makes quick decisions, he is lethal and a true duel threat. His composure is incredible too.

I mean I think about that Ole Miss game a lot. Being down 24-3 with like 1:49 or something before the half. And Hurts leads us down and hits Ridley for the TD. 24-10. I knew right then that we'd win that game. Just like I knew when Cam threw that hail mary just before the half after, Ingram fumbled the ball through the endzone, when we would have gotten up 31-0, that we would lose that game.

IMo, Jalen throws much better over the middle than most cfb analysts give him credit for.

Guess we will see after next year with the real analysts make a judgement call on his ability.
