"He’s a big receiver. He’s also put on a lot of muscle mass. He’s a strong receiver, too," Hubbard said at SEC Media Days. "You throw anything his way, he’s going to catch it. He’s got really good hands. So I’m excited for him. I think he’s going to have a huge role in our offense."

"Obviously, I’m not on that side, so I can’t speak too much about it, but I go against him a good bit. So he’s a great player. I remember in bowl prep, when he early enrolled and came with us for bowl prep, I mean, the dude was catching some stuff. And I was like, man, this kid’s gonna be a great player."

He can't run like Julio but he's bigger than Julio was coming in. You could tell at the Alabama/Mississippi all star game that he was the best player there. Just elite body control and a natural hands catcher. He will be what the kids like to say "a problem"

I think Meadows probably fits more in the Lazard, Valdez-Scantling archetype of a tall receiver that is more of a vertical threat. Morgan is a mutant. I'll be mildly surprised if he's not on the field for the first snap

Yep. His top end comp would be Mike Evans.

His opportunity increases with 5 being out too.

I think he gets at least 30 percent of the snaps week 1.

I really like Meadows. Not a speed burner but holy cow, he's got an incredible wing span and can make some pretty incredible catches in his own right.

So how do we line these guys up?

Brooks in the slot, Williams on the X, Morgan on the Z?

Do we just interchange them? I think Brooks can work some on the outside and ideally we would get Ryan some work from the slot too. Morgan down the seem could be a dagger.

I expect us to use a lot of TEs more than we will use 4-5 WR packages but I could be totally wrong about that. Just think CKD likes to play with the edges in his formations a lot. I dont know if any of our WRs are gonna be good blockers but lets hope so.

Can’t really run the UW version of the offense without a good downfield passing game and size at WR.

Whether it’s Morgan, Meadows or both someone with height needs to step up because as talented as RCW and Brooks are they don’t have near the size I think the coaches would prefer and with Horton gone someone needs to fill that role.

To me RCW on one side with Morgan/Meadows on the other and Brooks in the slot is the way to go until Rogers comes back from injury.

I’d really hope that whatever that grouping looks like we see better edge blocking than we got from them last year. As much as I liked Horton as a pass catcher between him and some of the others it was really bad at times.

Until Rogers comes back I’m not sure how the coaches will view Scott relative to getting some of the TEs on the field, but I doubt they signed all those guys not to use them. I suspect between Ford, Edwards and Lewis we continue to see them leaned on quite a bit like they did with Cuevas last year, particularly as they break in a new QB.

We have enough TEs that you’d think we’d be leaning on 2TE sets a bunch regardless this year. Ford is probably the H-B starter with Edwards at Y.

What kind of speed does Morgan have?

I know he can't run like Julio did but neither can most anybody else.

He runs a low 4.5 40, and he was the Gatorade Track and Field Athlete of the Year as a sophomore in high school. At 6'6 thats some serious speed. He has the size and speed to be a nightmare for DBs.

Derek Meadows was the fastest 10th grade 300m hurdler in the USA in 2023. Legit athlete. Hurdles aren't an event you just throw a guy into from the football team either, it's incredibly technical.
