B. I still say he was handed some deficiencies at certain positions like WR and QB. He installed new offensive and defensive systems. If Bama had finished 9-3 with losses to Ga, TN, and LSU it would be more palatable. Well if LSU had turned out to be who we thought they were.

General consensus seems like a "B" given the QB he inherited and pretty much had to play to keep the roster together, plus losing his long-time OC almost immediately.

The same QB that won a division and SEC title last year? The same QB that won 10 straight games and went 9-0 against SEC teams? The same QB that took Alabama to the playoffs and if it wasn't for several bad snaps by the center, probably would have won a national championship?

Yes, that one. Pretty much the sole player responsible for at least two of 'Bama's three losses.

Losses to Vandy, Tennessee and Oklahoma hurt,
But, Next year he gets to build his own team. As it stands right now, He’s about to sign the #2 Recruiting Class in the country in 2025 and #1 in the SEC.
With all of the ups and downs, He’s pulled off an arse kicking in Baton Rouge, Beat Georgia and Auburn.
Give him another year to right the ship and get some better coordinators. He’ll be fine.

Not acceptable. We had better look more prepared next season.

I hope it was a huge punch in the mouth in regards to his preparation going forward. Just because it works at UW or Fresno, doesn't mean it will in the SEC.

I think it's almost unrealistic to expect to go undefeated anymore, but your loss(es) better be competitive.

Vandy apparently not being that punch in the mouth is where most of my reservations are. Still, I want to see him with a QB who he has picked and developed himself. The times this season when the offense was clicking it could look amazing, but when it wasn't it was just downright horrible. There's a reason we basically didn't kick any FGs this year.

9 wins and possibly more. That’s pretty good. But the Team is very undisciplined. So many penalties. Lacks consistency. We have lack of quality depth in the trenches. The three man front is horrible.

Look this coach is going to be here for a while, and if and when we replace him it’s probably going to be another person from outside the South who doesn’t know the SEC and is not going to be the second coming of Nick Saban as an arse kicking disciplinarian. So if that bothers you so much, go pull for another team, the constant negativity and trolling overestimation of our talent level is getting old.

What happened last year was done with mirrors and Saban coaching his arse off. We could easily have been 8-4 in the regular season, a game worse than this year.

Yeah, pretending 'Bama steamrolled their way through the conference last year and into the playoffs is some serious revisionist history.

He's handled the recruiting VERY WELL. Kept a great class together. And is recruiting well according to all the services.

Top 10 in points allowed. 13 in points per game at 17.3 ppg. Best scoring defense since Pruitt's second season in 2017. Top 10 turnover margin despite the offense being turnover prone.

Offense is shackled by a RB that is pretending to be a QB and they still managed to go 9-3 vs a very difficult schedule with an outside shot to get into the playoffs with some help. And looking at who they'll play (ND or PennSt) have a good shot of winning a playoff game.

If BAMA doesn't lose to OU he gets an A-.

What happens next year when Milroe isn't the scapegoat and Alabama is still losing?

You are right, Alabama could have been 8-4 last year. Alabama is two plays away from 7-5 this year.

Alabama is the most talented team in the country based of ratings.

Everyone accepting losses to two average to bad teams this year is reminding me how fans were defending Shula in 2006.

I don't know what everyone else saw against OU and Vandy, but I saw a completely unprepared Alabama team both games.

First time it happens next year and it will because DeBoer has a history of it, maybe fans will actually believe that coaching is the problem.

Ratings are GARBAGE designed to make people like you who get all hot and bothered about “winning recruiting” click on links and spend money with people who arbitrarily come up with those stars and laugh their way to the bank. They cannot tell you what is in a player’s brain, heart, guts and gonads.

What happens when BAMA makes the playoff next season? Will you STFU about the coaching??

Probably not. He strikes me as the kind of guy that Bama could win it all next year but because Bama didn’t beat every opponent 55-0, he’d say “DeBoer SUCKS!!!!!”.

People like him are why I wish Chicken would allow an ignore function. I post on a lot of other boards about more than football (auto racing, boxing, music) and they all have ignore functions, and while I try to use it sparingly, it can be a good way to retain one’s sanity and avoid blood pressure spikes.

That QB didn't win shite last year, Aubie. The GOAT, and 17 year entrenched system won those games.
