They sound a group of f@ygot frat boys who just finished watching Rudy...

Bama might not win it all, but sure as hell, they won't lose to Notre Dame..

think he makes some good points. I think Alabama will struggle on defense against Notre Dame and give up 30-40 points in the game.

What!??!

I could see the Alabama defense looking like Clemson's in that first game.

So you think our defense is worse than Clemsons without 7 starters?

What planet am I on, when has a QB this year run wild? Mond didn’t, Ole Miss even in a shootout didn’t, Missouri didn’t.

Well his first two ideas are in conflict. You aren’t committing 100 percent to stopping Najee if you are committing safety over the top to stop Smitty. And therein in lies the problem stopping Bama’s offense. You can’t take everything away. In typing this I find myself thinking about the what if’s if Waddle was healthy. Would be unfair.

Metchie
Bolden
Forrestal
Billingsley (a star in the making...Kyle Pitts can lick me)

Yeah once they lock down all six players, they got us.

This. Attempting to keep Bama down to under 30 points is impossible.

We sound like Big 12 Texas Tech fans before Alabama came to town. I remember them dismissing our defense and its gaudy statistics, since it hadn't been exposed to the "Tech Effect" yet.

We held them to 10 points. Won by 3.

They SCORED A LOT OF POINTS that season.

I'm not saying we're Texas Tech...but we've all been making "big 12" comparisons all year.

How good are we until we expose ourselves to someone outside the SEC?

Clemson exposed our arse two years ago.

Defense. Wins. Championships.

ND has played 4 teams with a winning schedule and 2 of them are 6-5.

Wtf are you talking about. The ACC is easily trash. The SEC may be down but so are they.

More or less trashy than they were in 2018?

When they whipped our arse?

We've been whistling by the graveyard for several years now with our defense.

I'm not saying we'll lose to Clemson. I'm saying i have no idea. Are they more or less talented than they were 2 years ago? Are we?

Did you know that John Ossoff is too liberal for GA?

I’m not sure do you know?

Clemson is not the team they were at that time and their defense certainly isn’t.

Our defense is a wash with better inside linebackers then but a worse secondary.

Our offense is a better scheme. Our QB is incredibly smart.

It will be a dog fight against Clemson but we can win against them.

PFF regarding ND's OL
PFF is almost worthless (unless it props up a desired conclusion :-)) BYU and Buffalo? Come on. That sounds like a computer's conclusion. Need humans to intervene when a computer makes a fool of itself. You know, kinda like the College Football Playoff Committee vs BCS computers.

ND probably has a good OL, but 3rd behind BYU and Buffalo. That's embarrassing. That's like saying Coastal Carolina's 10-0 (before they had to play mighty Liberty) record means it is better than Clemson and ND who are 10-1.

BYU and Buffalo?

Their grading is based on their individual plays. Their grades can’t take account things like supporting cast, sample size, and level of competition. It’s not a ranking. They have Damien Harris as the no.2 highest graded RB in the NFL but they think Kamara (no.5) is still better.

Well they can’t say, “as a non-P5 player, the highest we can give you on this play is a 6/10.” Think of it like 4.0 in a Ivy League school versus getting one in a small local university. Not the same level of difficulty but they can’t just deny you an A. By your logic, no matter how well they play they can’t put non-P5 teams up there . That’s why they separate from P5 and non-P5 sometimes.

That being said, they probably don’t put as much effort into college grading as they do pro.

About the same or slightly better.

He won't have to run wild just use his mobility to pick up a few first downs or extra yards to keep drives alive.
