I love it overall. I do wish we opened up with a top 25 team instead of a top 3 team but you have to love these type games.

FSU a toss up, win the rest until CFP, and we'll see.

This schedule is easy as hell at least on paper.

Opening with FSU is worrisome. By far our toughest opener under Saban, and likely the toughest game of our regular season.
Aside from that, no worries in the SEC. Same as usual. LSU and Auburn can give us trouble but nobody else

We need to beat FSU for obvious reasons, but also for the sake of recruiting against them.

That's the primary reason imo. We can lose a close game to them and still make the CFP. We need to win for recruiting purposes.

My completely uninformed opinion is that Vandy's defense is gonna Jalen some problems.

Obviously, were not gonna lose to Vandy, but I got a feeling that that game is gonna look ugly at times.

I'm glad we have that three game stretch before Ole Miss after the opener though.

Gives Ole Miss time to fall into their annual injury crisis where their top 15 at position recruits go down and are replace with players outside of the top 50 of their position.

It all depends on how much Jalen improves as a passer. But dude, even as a freshman, our offense schooled most defenses in the SEC. Jalen is a baller - don't forget.
I'm a little worried about Daboll, but we'll get a good idea in game 1.

Mercer? I get the arguments in favor of the easy game there on the schedule. But Bama shouldn't play FCS teams.

They've been playing FCS teams for decades and will continue to as long as it's allowed.

Is anyone up to speed on what FSU is bringing back ?

I know their OL was the weak link last season.

Demarcus Walker, and Dalvin Cook are gone, but I dont know much about their roster after that.

Scary part of playing FSU game one is Francois is similar to Watson.

Outside of their starting WR's, they bring back the majority of their team. They're the team to beat in the ACC, IMO.

Best to catch FSU early. I expect both Bama and FSU to make the playoffs.

They lost their top rusher, WR and best defensive player.
