Bama fans had that same discussion among ourselves last year. Best explanation anyone could come up with was that the alternatives were worse, but most people were somewhat perplexed that they couldn't find one benchwarmer who could snap the ball better.

Hate hearing about the injury. I'm glad he did a good job for you prior to that.

Dalcourt being a loafer almost always half-assing it on the field really was the root problem. They tried putting him at guard and letting McLaughlin takeover center but that was even worse for the OL. Eventually, Dalcourt was replaced by Roberts and I think the staff was mostly done with Dalcourt’s gameday performance.

If we’re going to drag players, I’d blame Dalcourt for having NFL ability but Fast Food Service drive. McLaughlin would not have been on the field if Dalcourt wasn’t such a waste of talent.

Wonder how they fixed his issues at Ohio State?

Saban loved Dalcourt for some reason.

Tough timing for this thread with Seth going down for the year.

I think he was smart and did all the right things but he did not have that dog in him.

Sometimes you just need a change of environment. Different coaches, different message, different way to get you to focus.

It's like changing to a new job when you're just not comfortable in the environment any longer.

Don't know how he was fixed, but possibly better relations with offensive line coach. Jake Butt, a former Michigan player, and a fair evaluator to me, stated that he felt that Seth was the most impactful non-skill position transfer in the portal last year and that Seth was playing at an All American level. (1:30 of video) Reading all of the problems he had last year must have driven the fans nuts.

Also, I think someone asked about Caleb Downs, Jake at about 6:05 called him the eliminator.

Rolling a snap back to the QB, firing it left or right, shin high or head high, whether it was on time or premature. Like several stated before, it became mental with him, like a golfer or a pitcher in the MLBs that loses command, like a Rick Ankiel back in the day for the Cardinals.

Probably mostly about the QB and center both being on the same page and Seth not having to do half the QB's job for him. That, and getting the correct protections called, which probably eliminates a lot of uncertainty for the whole offensive line. Or like our retarded fans think, he just magically got better after leaving. I don't know, you decide.

Explain to me how Brailsford has had an acceptable number of bad snaps this season thus far with the same lacking QB?

Please, enlighten us retards further and explain to us how any of that would cause a center to not be able to simply snap the ball accurately. How would having to help make protection calls (which literally every center is responsible for) cause him to send a groundball or a pop fly back to the QB?

You could find the worst, dumbest starting college QB in the country, and I guarantee you that his center doesn't deliver bad snaps near the rate that McLaghlin did last season.

So they blasted him on social media, and everywhere else for some bad snaps that weren't ALL his fault

A bad snap is always the center's fault. Ain't nobody else causing him to shoot it off target.
