Is this a misdemeanor or Felony?
Holloway, 21, was charged with first-degree possession of marijuana and failure to affix a tax stamp.

This is not really true. If you are a regular smoker(a lot of young athletes are) then a pound for personal use isn’t uncommon.

how is that relevant? That's not illegal or wasn't then.

It’s relevant because it’s just a really silly law. Delta 8 and 9 were fine for everyone a few months ago. The drinks and gummies still are. But we’re busting in peoples home and arresting them for essentially the same thing

ETA: Ok it looks worse now that he was possibly dealing. It is still all very hypocritical but it’s a dumb arse thing to do if he was dealing despite the hypocrisy

I agree the law is terrible but it is what it is.

Kick the mfer off the team for the sole reason of being a fricking retard.

Unless something comes out to alleviate a lot of this between now and maybe Wednesday, I don’t see him playing for us again this year

The judge that signed the warrant is probably the same clown that is holding Darius Miles in jail for 3 years with no trial in sight and ruled against Bediako

I mean, the warrant seems justified in hindsight. We don’t know that they knew when it was issued but whatever they knew or thought they knew doesn’t appear to be wrong.

I’d kick him off the team. Idiot.

Come on Aden. What a dummy.

Also, no way TPD would do this to a football player about to start the CFP.

Well, I mean, he was breaking the law. So we can blame everyone but him or we can put the responsibility on the man himself who knew what he was doing was illegal but decided it was worth the risk.

We have to start paying these kids so they don't have to resort to things like this for money....

I think we all know that Alabama and the South in general have the most strict drug laws in the country.

If this is a misdemeanor in even Alabama then I don’t think there’s a reason to blow it out of proportion. I’d personally prefer if the guys didn’t get into this type of shite but there’s worse things in the world than a 21 year old smoking in his home on his down time.

Not to mention I can’t imagine being able to smoke that regularly and be in good shape, but 60% of the nba manages it so what do I know.

Yep. Was just looking it up and it looks like it is a felony.
