I read the Barn tried to hire Karl Dunbar but he elected to stick with the Steelers.

Kind of brings a tear to your eye.

I mean, unless there are extenuating circumstances, that isn't exactly Sophie's choice .

He's certainly not as good an OC as Sarkisian, imo, but he's not terrible. Marrone is terrible.

hopefully bob's offense will be better with improved oline play. the one game where the oline looked pretty good, the o looked better.

I do think the OL was a bigger issue than his playcalling, but he also didn't do a lot to help the OL in terms of calling some screens or draws to keep pass rushers and blitzes honest.

This is just a guess on my part but with Saban’s history of letting coordinators find other jobs instead of firing them I feel like Boz is completely on point. The other part that makes me think BoB has been told to find other employment is Joe Brady’s name isn’t popping up anywhere. There is no way a guy of his caliber is just sitting out there without offers. He’s likely got a deal done with someone and they are waiting for the OC to officially move on before announcing it.

I think BoB will have quite a few NFL OC offers once the SB is over. His play calling works there.

BOB is not a bad coach. Couple things I wished he had done differently this year but we still had 2 1,000yd receivers, a 1,000 yd RB, and a Heisman QB , #2 scoring offense most of the year and a top 10 overall offense, all behind what is by Bama standards , a very poor OL. He is nowhere as creative or had a feel for calling plays like Sark( who ruined our standards ) but he didn’t do a terrible job . There is a reason he is mentioned for several jobs

I mean , I am indifferent whether he goes or stays but we could have done a lot worse with an OC hire

The first domino has fallen. Josh McDaniels to the Raiders. BB loves to recycle his previous coordinators so…

I just think BOB route trees were too congested and had nothing to help guys get open in the red zone. And He never called a RB screen all season when our OL was struggling.
