Seriously.

You are going to need those points sooner or later. Probably sooner.

Saban has nobody to blame but himself. Why he didn't recruit a kicker for the 2015 class, I'll never understand. Griffith has health problems, and I get that, but we wouldn't put a QB out there who couldn't complete more than 1/3 of his passes because of some shoulder injury.

Our ability to back into shitty placekicking is mindblowing. There's just no way to explain it. You would think it would've become a priority after the 2011 LSU game.

I mean Griffith was supposed to be the #1 kicker in the country coming out. Cade was up there too.

We apparently need to start doing psych evaluations on these guys before we offer them.

Foster was supposed to have this powerful leg but rarely kicked it in the end zone.

Griffith had been kicking them long enough, but had not been very accurate. That long one today (when he was on target) was just pathetic - he was at least 10 yards short. Ugh.

Look at this way, we don't have to worry about Saban trying a last second 45 yard attempt to be ran back for a TD

Or a decent QB

I hope the lack of a confident kicker does not cost them a game. The dude coming in next year has some promise.

Haven't we been saying that for the last few years?

We must really mindfvck our kickers early on

I'm convinced Bobby Williams is molesting the entire special teams unit.

That was a 57 yard attempt. It actually would've been good from 45.

It was. Remember we got Griffith in the 2012 class, but sadly he has busted big time.

Just go for it every time between the 40 and the 10 yard line on 4th down. Let scott punt if its longer, let raborn kick a fg if its shorter. Statistically, always going for it on 4th is better anyway

Griffith has the yips, nothing wrong with his leg, its in his head, and it's gonna coast is a game vs lsu, ole miss, or a&m. We have the monster running game we were hoping for, just cram it down the opposing teams throats every single time we get down there. We just have to stop with the incomplete passes on 1st down. We gotta keep ahead of the schedule and move forward.

Everything I've read says it's his back and his head. If the back issue is as serious as what I've heard, sending him out there is just flat out irresponsible.

We haven't many losses in the past few years, but several of these have been directly contributed to losses.
Namely :
2013- Auburn. Not only the last kick, but earlier in the 4th, we go for it on 4th down in a chip shot FG range. And fail to make the 1st down.

2011 - LSU. Missed 12 FG attempts. Made 2.
I may be off on those numbers, my memory escapes me.

2014 Ole Miss - missed 2 FGs. Lose by 6.

Just to name a few. Not to mention morale killers of not getting points after a long drive.
Short kickoffs for longer returns, etc.

UF won the nc in 2006-07 season with a horrible kicker.

I agree we need to go for it on 4th down inside the 40. Let Rayborne kick short ones. Griff is done mentally, not sure he should ever kick another FG Again. Let him do kick offs and extra points, that's all he can handle. The decision not to sign a kicker this year was stupid with a capital S. We need to sign a kicker every bloody year until we find one.

I think Cade's confidence was shaken in that game and he missed like two earlier as well.

Last year, our 4th down conversion percentage was ~77%. Griffith's career FG percentage is 50%. This shouldn't even be a question at this point.

Yes, I am aware that we went for it primarily on 4th and short, but I have more faith in us converting 4th and medium than a FG currently.
