I was at the game and never saw a flag come out

Would that have put the ball at the 2 or would that had been just a 15 yard penalty?

Foul occurred in the end zone, first and goal at the 2, down 3 points with 3 and change on the clock

If I’m not mistaken the LOS was around georgias 37, so we would have the ball at their 22 with a fresh set of downs

Yeah you’re right

Regardless, this one is tough to swallow and the fact we’ll get absolutely fricking nothing from the league office sucks

The ref was at the goal post basically and waited a good long while to throw the flag. Kool Aid ( I think) was a good 7 yards going the other way when that guy pulled his flag

I remember. It was an all timer in terms of horrendous calls. You'll get no argument from me on that. I just think this was somehow even worse.

I don't understand when the "foul occurred in the end zone, ball placed on the 2 yard line" is actually enforced.
I see PI in the end zone and it seems like it only moves it up 15 yards.

I talked to an SEC ref who is a Bama fan after that 22 UT game and he said he wouldn’t have thrown it but it wasn’t a made up a call. Still think they wouldn’t have thrown it if Kool Aid hadn’t picked it and returned it.

Yesterday was egregious. Very much like the Saints-Rams a few years back. That ref should be suspended because incompetence affected the outcome of a major SEC game and that crew has already dropped the ball this year.

It is tough in real time on bang bang calls , I get that for sure but the face masks and Targeting with 8 guys on the field AND replay should not be missed at that level

Yea not one shot showed it hit the ground (bounced off hands/wrist) and was ruled an INT on the field...

For sure. I don’t believe they review every play. If they did, then that targeting would’ve been called. The SEC needs to make these thing public.

All good. The vol hatred maybe skews my thinking.

Not only was it PI he led with his helmet.....I think it could have been called targeting.

McElroy being a choade this morning saying Alabama shouldn’t have let the game come down to officiating so they won’t discuss that on the show.

Really tired of hearing this line. We all agree with that and calling that PI at the end doesn’t guarantee we win…but it gives us a chance. Also if any of the other judgment calls appropriately go out, the dynamics of the game could certainly change.

They basically never really discuss controversial calls on the show, as a rule.

Yeah I turned JOX off as soon as Cole said that. Not discussing a critical no call that absolutely affected the outcome of the game is silly, but expected for those two. Greg glossed over the INT saying he thought it was an INT. I'm still waiting on whatever view that Matt Austin and the refs saw to overturn that thing in ten seconds.

Does Alabama still send clips of bad calls to the sec office and do the refs review the game afterwards? Is there like an after action review?

So they didn't talk about the end of the Michigan/Western Michigan game a few weeks ago? As long as they're consistent.

Saturday was more than a "controversial blown PI call"...it was the entire game...from spotting the ball to running the clock...and that's before the actual plays. Very hard to think it wasn't intentional...very hard.

What's the point? Everyone with eyeballs knows they missed the PI call. An apology wouldn't do us any good.

That show specifically won't discuss refs because they both have TV contracts they cling to for their $$$.

But if the Bama admin doesn't file a compliant against terrible calls in the Georgia game they are not doing their due diligence to represent this football team......If people want to ignore it, thats their choice. But in a game that close, ref calls matter when it gives the opposing team unfair advantages.
