People who are college football centric underestimate the lure of the NFL.

NFL sucks and is broken. When the GOAT can't get a job and organizations MUST interview coaches of a particular color despite knowing who they want to hire, the system blows. Superbowl winning coaches, that area still coaching, can't get jobs and Raheem Morris can? Jerod Mayo? Are you fricking kidding me?

Can we just shift this to a Grubb's wife hates the south thread now? All this foreplay

That’s what you are saying from afar motivated by other factors but the average football coach is still going to look at the NFL as the pinnacle of the profession.

I’ll speak up for the area above Seattle in Snohomish County, gorgeous place, scrumptious seafood and the people are chill and have been universally friendly and welcoming to my wife and I as Southerners.
We have visited some folks up there several times and we don’t stay in Seattle proper any longer than it takes to get off the plane, get the rental car and head north although someday I would like to see Pike Place and the site of Sick’s Stadium from “Ball Four.” (It’s a Lowe’s now.)
I did ask a dude at a fish and chips stand in Mukilteo where we have stayed if it was a pain in the arse to go to Seattle and he asked me if I had any good, specific reason for going, and I said no, and his answer was “Don’t.”

Yeah, I figured the answer to the "where does he fit" is that Grubb becomes the OLC/Co-OC/Run Game Coordinator

It is gorgeous up there. I’d have a place there in a heartbeat but I would have to win the lottery because houses and the cost of living is so high LOL.
We’ve centered around Everett, Mulkilteo, Woodinville (great wine making area) and the town of Snohomish (cool shops and places to eat and that’s where the twin sisters on HGTV’s Unsellable Houses are based).
Again the people there have been friendly to the point where we almost have developed the comfort level of natives. I’m sure we might get a different response with our Southern accents in downtown Seattle proper but that is what it is.

Surely we could find him another wife

Not sure of his religious beliefs, although they enjoy the northwest. Do you mean in addition to or in lieu of? I wonder what would be his first thoughts to meeting a pagent winner?

Thinking about this with a bit of reflection … yes I would like to have him on staff and as I said we could certainly find him something to do, but I am uncomfortable with the idea that any individual offensive coordinator (or any assistant coach for that matter) can be the singlehanded, metaphysically certain savior and miracle worker for a program, and it seems like some folks are gravitating to that mindset. (“Cough, cough … Lane Kiffin absolutely would have made Jalen Milroe a super superduperstar … cough, cough.”)

I mean we did that on the defensive side of the ball for half a decade wishing for Pruitt to come back.

Don’t get me wrong, I would love to have Grubb on the staff, but can he single-handedly give us a championship offense? People shouldn’t expect that.

Every team is openly doing what he did now, hes gotta get penalized 10 years for doing it a few seasons early? That penis-headed bastard is a moron in all things except crafting a damn fine defense

I mean, at this point, all you have to do is just say you will take them to court and they issue a new rule saying whatever it is you want to do is actually fine. If Saban was still around and scraping the bottle of the barrel for DCs I'd 100% be clamoring for that.

We have a group of defensive coaches entering the prime of their careers. We don't need a washed up failed head coach in the NCAA doghouse to save us on that side of the ball.

The realy cool thing about Seattleright now is that Mount St Helens has been closed to visitors because of the magma moving so much under the volcano and the northern side (toward Seattle) is bulging. The last time it did this was 1980. They could have some awsone views just before a 60,000 foot ash cloud starts to fall on them.
I think I would skip the views and get out of town just in case.
