That's refreshing to hear. He's the best one that we've had in my lifetime

You were born after Mal Moore left the job?

The man was part of 10 National Championships at Alabama, as a player coach and AD, but hey…he’s a one hit wonder.

I was born in '82. I liked Mal Moore, but looking at the full body of work Byrne so far has been better. Yes Moore hired Nick Saban and that was the best hire between Moore and Byrne but looking at all sports, Byrne has been superior. That's my opinion

Byrne has been overall a better AD than Moore considering the whole athletic department. Saban is the Goat, but all sports are humming at Bama right now. His big work in the near future is getting a new arena built.

Mal Moore was not a good AD. People were protesting before he hired Saban to fire him. If he missed on Saban he was fricked

Moore deserves credit for getting Saban but overall the athletic program is in far better hands with Byrne running the show. It’s not even close. Best AD in the country.

I'm not sure he does. He only got Saban because the first coach he hired backed out. He couldn't be patient enough to wait and hear from Saban.

He always wanted to wait for Saban. the PTB didn't want to wait.

Moore deserves a lot of credit for the beginning of the facilities upgrades and hiring the best college football coach of all time. Byrne is a real administrator and good fund raiser. He is by far the best AD in my lifetime and has put an emphasis on all sports.

Yall can shite on Mal all you want, but him pulling off the Saban hire laid the foundation for Greg Bryne.
