Players have openly said it was Jalen’s team and they support him. Did some of them want Tua to play because he was the better passer, sure.

As a dad I understand the sentiment, but painting your kid into a corner is never a good idea.

I love what Jalen has done for us and would like to see him finish his college career at Alabama and if he wins the starting job back and wins another title I doubt a soul will complain.

Bottom line though, if he wants to play in the NFL he has to show a lot more throwing the ball or it won't matter which school he plays for

As long as they respect the school/program/coaches, it is completely understandable

Totally agree. Just wish his dad hadn't unnecessarily added pressure to the already tense cooker that his kid is in. Either way, Jalen will do everything he can and then we'll see where things end up. I'll be a Jalen fan wherever he ends up.

That's just bullshite

Edit : Just saw you were quoting something. That guy is bullshite, then.

That guy on twitter y’all are talking about that’s claiming he’s close to the team is 110% a fraud. He’s getting blasted right now by Bama fans for his constant bashing of Jalen. He said people have said before that Jalen has had attitude problems, so I asked him for a link to where someone said that and he couldn’t provide one. He’s making up stuff as he goes. He basically called Aaron Suttles a racist before and asked him “Are you only defending Jalen bc he’s black?”. So once again, ignore that @UnlimitedTide account on twitter. He has something against Jalen. I’m pretty sure I know what it is, but that’s on him

You should have made the source clear. At any rate, I'd take peoples response to you as the response to him and the answer to your question.

Averion also said more than that. Only using that one quote puts it in a bad light imo.

Also, I would add that capstonekid on twitter is the same way as well. He bash Hurts every chance he gets and praise Tua all the time.

I don't think as many teams will want jalen as his dad thinks. Majority of the teams won't have our defense to mask a qb who can't throw.

Has any QB that has transferred out from Alabama started for another team as QB?

I can't think of any.

But Jalen I would think has a better chance than the others so far.

Phillip Ely, Phillip Simms started some. I think Alec Morris started at least one game

I don't understand why they are so determined to keep him as a QB. He's a freak athletically and could probably make NFL at another position.

But I'm all for him winning the starting position for next year. The bar isn't low, so if he makes it - then something has clicked and we will be looking good.

Still I think if he doesn't win the starting job, it's pretty much a signal that a pro QB future is out of the question. Why throw it all away? Is 1 year of being a starting QB in college worth it that much?

I guess I should have clarified in meaning comparable type schools. In terms of advancing their careers more than just getting to play at all.

I think it's QB or bust for him. I don't see a position that he could switch to where he would suddenly be a pro prospect.

C'mon man that is just b.s.

If Jalen lost the locker room its simply because Tua bailed them out and won the damn title with his arm.

I was at the scrimmage he claimed to be at, he was actually wrong about some things one in particular was a ball Tony Brown intercepted he said he couldn’t tell because he was on the other end of the field which, was bullshite they put all of us on the south end.

As for Jalen I’ve seen improvement, is it enough ? IMO no not yet. It is better though because he is throwing for the job and it’s not a given. Everything is riding on this.
