If Leonhard interviews for Arkansas and doesn’t even show up on our campus, I’m done with next years defense already. So tired of dragging Golding around with us for no damn reason.

It's gonna suck if Golding's back on our sideline next season.
No matter the personnel,
there'll be no enthusiasm on that side of the ball.

Yeah, just listening to Touchdown Alabama a while ago and they were blasting our linebacker play. Saleem Rasheed and Marvin Constant were just appalled by their play.

If we have coaching changes I think it would happen after early signing day. But I am actually starting to believe it will not happen and both return.

Did ToTo ever force and fill a hole? He was great at making contact 6 yards past the line of scrimmage.

I could ask the same why not?

I have seen nothing to say they were leaving officially. With the coaching changes around the country I have yet to see their names mentioned. Golding is still on the recruiting trail and I forget who but I saw he visited someone the other day.

Outside of fans praying/hoping for them to leave I have yet to see anything to suggest they are leaving.

Yes you could, but I was just wondering why you thought that.

I just googled Bill O'Brien and "news" tab and saw several articles speculating O'Brien to the Pats as their next OC, so his name is definitely being mentioned for that.

As far as Golding, not sure, but I don't think that it's unusual for a coach to stay on the recruiting trail even if his job is up in the air.

Maybe you're right, but just because nothing official has been stated doesn't really mean all that much on December 14th.

But still nothing actual just speculating. A lot of names get thrown around by the media when there are openings in college and NFL and many never materialized.

I agree if trying to keep guys committed until they sign that are EEs.

In the past when coaches may be on their way out it seems they are already interviewing or as some have suggested motivated to do so by Saban.

I hope we replace both but I am not encouraged at the moment we will.

O’Brien signed a two year contract. Unless I missed it he never signed an extension meaning after the bowl game he’s done.

As mentioned Golding is still recruiting per Volquest in regards to Carter today

quote:

He is leaving tomorrow for Knoxville. Bama came up and tried to meet him today. Pete Golding set outside high school and Arion told him to not come in

Coincidentally, that's what Alabama fans tell him when he enters Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Would be surprised if we hear anything until we get close to the bowl game.

There are some who will not go to games, watch on tv or listen on radio if he comes back.

Didn't Tosh Lupoi recruit up until he left?

Coach Kelly is moving to Colorado and he's still out recruiting for us.

Saban and Kelly visiting Ocean Springs.

Not saying it's right or wrong to do, but this makes zero sense. A coach leaving your school trying to convince players to go to the place he's leaving. Not sure it's very effective.

Kelly is getting a promotion. I'm sure he is selling the school not himself. Plus, Saban was with him.

I'm just saying Golding still out recruiting doesn't mean he will be our DC next year.

It's still strange.

It's like leaving Verizon to go to work for AT&T and then going out on a job fair for Verizon. Who's going to listen to anything you say about going to the place you're leaving. I sure wouldn't.

As far as the promotion, it just means he wasn't good enough to get the promotion at the place he was working. So, again, why listen to him and is he really going to do his best recruiting. Good thing Saban was there. Who's out with Golding? I'm sure a lot of these players and high school coaches figure he's possibly not coming back.

BOB is gone. He's not coming back period.

Golding is still 50/50.

Look no matter who's leaving... they still have to recuit for alabama all the way to NSD. That's how Saban has done it before.
