And Golding back is probably 100% a repeat if not worse next season.
Hell, the Ttown drunk had 8 or 9 starters back this year.
But you damn well couldn't tell vs Tennessee, LSU, Auburn etc...

There's consequences for not making the playoff.
He and BoB being replaced will be cause for celebration.

Saint, I truly hope you've got some good sauces, otherwise it's just cruel to get our collective hopes up...

While I hope you are right, I have heard from a couple of different places the exact opposite and that he’s absolutely back I hope to be wrong though.

Everyone speculating that since literally no one will hire Golding that, Nick won't fire him. I'm firmly in the mindset Pete was told to find another job. However, probably going to have to take a pay cut. Not sure he is going to do it willingly.

Another sign that things aren't going well for Golding:

Last year he was #3 as a recruiter in national ranking. This year he's #53.

Cox and Hutzler struggled this year as well.

Coaches will be sent packing if they can’t recruit. Cox was a big meh hire.

Dang. I felt like his recruiting ability is one of the main reasons he was hanging on at Alabama. If he is truly declining on the recruiting trail, what is there left to keep him for?

He helps the university out by putting all the local bar owners' kids through college?

The rankings aren't the be all, end all.

Out of the top 5 overall recruiters for 2022, only Charles Kelly has remained in the top 5 for 2023. The next closest comes in at 44 for '23.

Golding has parts of Louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi as his territories, which are can be hard battles with the primary instate schools. The returns just weren't as fruitful in '23, be it lack or success or lack of targets.

The 'Tide' may be turning on getting the best recruiters. Since the portal/NIL, coaching could now be considered more important and let the kids will come for the NIL money and NFL potential based on the success of the program and money donors. The coaching is what then wins games to facilitate success.

Are you even a Bama fan? Recruiting will always be very important, if not the most important thing for saban. Yes, saban will always get great recruiters. Alabama might sign one player from the portal this year.
