OL is a glaring weakness
DL is soft outside of 31, who is a stud
Safety play is abysmal
LBs overrun everything

Tackling sucks
Play calling sucks
Defense can’t even get the play in most of the time
OL sucks again

The OL looked really bad , less than 10 yards rushing ?, and the play calling sucked but you could tell LSU really wanted to beat us at our house. You have to give the Defense credit for stopping them at the end of the game. I'm worried about the Auburn game big time.

I would be more worried about Arkansas 1st.The positive? This outfit is 8-1 and still have life. The negatives?:

Schematically,on both sides of the ball,I cant hardly believe what I am watching. It is that poor.If it wasnt for the Unis?Wouldnt look anything like what I am used to seeing there.

This team has personnel issues all over the place. I am Talking about this team like I would when I evaluate and cap so many others.

1)Cant run the football because of the 4 deadly sins:
*Horrible O-Line play and execution
*Lack of blocking schemes and diversity
*Lack of talent and explosion at RB
*No called QB run game(Want to, for shits and giggles, block 1 less guy upfront here and there?Run some simple Tight Zone Read 2-3 times a game
(And why arent we in the Pistol?)

2)Bryce Young is as poorly Coached as a lot of the QBs I laugh at in leagues like the Big 10.He is just talented.

3)TE play is a joke.And Bolden?

4)The guys inside on D(sans Mathis) are below average bottom line.Have been since they arrived on campus.

5)The ILBs can be pretty active but are both poor tacklers and get blocked all the time.Especially #8 who is really disappointing. Will A has had a great year and Drew did well when he was healthy and DTurner is going to be really good IF?
6)The backend could be a strength if they would just "simplify"and let them play, and get better on the ball skills...

Last purge.Again I cant believe what I see scheme-wise on both sides of the ball.By this time of the year you are what you are.No question about that. But 8/9 teams, besides THE TIDE,who are still alive for a Play-Off spot, also have serious issues and questions also.

Ga-They are very good.Small issue may be their OL. But their RBs are really good. Not sure they win a Ring with SBennett

OK/OKST-Will play twice. One will be in the PO's..Neither are a complete team

The ACC is eliminated.

I dont believe the Big 10 gets a team in because I think a 3-loss Bucky Bedger wins that league

Oregon will get beat again at least once.

Cincy?Pretty decent, but how many games would they lose if they were in The SEC west and had 2 crossovers?

Which leaves Us A+M and THE TIDE.IF Bama beats Arkansas, which I have my doubts,1 of these teams gets eliminated after The Iron Bowl.

Done!...NO GD more this week

Closest thing allowed, for more than 30 minutes ( thanks, Archer), is a decent thread going on the OT about some Lithuanian chick getting pulled over for a DUI

There is iron in your words. LSU really exposed Bama's lack of an elite RB. BRob is a gamer for sure but not elite. The rest are a little above average. If Harris #8 gets drafted it will be with the last groups on Saturday of the draft.

Got to hope Bryce can have a really good game going forward or we get beat.

Man I can tell you now every radio show this entire week is going to be nothing but pure melt.

You might as well brace yourself for a solid week of how bad this team is conversation

I won't have to brace myself because I don't listen to that shite, same as I don't generally read the game threads on this board, though I surely would not have disagreed with the complainers last night.

Billingsly is a massive disappointment. The talent is clearly there but he bought into his own hype.

Metchie isn't nearly as good as our previous receivers. Williams is pretty close.

BRob is all heart but lacks real talent.

Bryce gets shook sometimes when he's having to run for his life a lot and that's happening all the time because our OL is straight garbage.

Terrible offensive playcalling doesn't adjust to any of the above.

SLADE BOLDEN WILDCAT

Defensively, Moore continues to get exposed.

Hellams is butt.

We have the dumbest players in the sport.

Saban is tired.

Last night felt exactly like a loss. I will never go back and watch that game again.

This massive mess is coaching plain and simple. Marone, O'Brien, and Golding should go, though the defense actually made a few stops last night or we'd have lost. edit to note they made a few stops vs a horrible and decimated LSU team.

Just compare Billingsley and Latu from last season and the beginning of this season to how they play now.

It's all coaching.

We have so much talent on that line it's incredible Chris Owens can even see the field. Yet even Chris Owens wasn't this bad last year.

Neither was Ekiyor.

BOB and Marrone have been a cancer and like Golding are living off of NFL level talent making individual plays (Bryce, Jameson vs Will Anderson)

All on Nick, if he is getting the flowers when it works, he should get the manure when it fails

He made the template himself, by hiring someone hungry. He went so far from it with these hires it's mind boggling.

Plus side is he will fix it in the off-season, but damn it's painful to watch

This is the main factor for me. If Saban lets this ride he is in retirement mode.

If he starts pushing guys to NFL jobs (Marrone, BOB?) and college head coaching jobs (Golding, BOB?); then I know he still has his fire.

The fact they came out of the bye week looking like this is alarming. When the Jets came out of the bye week to get dominated by the Pats I wasn't surprised, but this is Bama.

The offense is way too predicated on hitting a huge play because they set up WAY too many 3rd and longs.

Imagining what this OL will look like next year without Neal is terrifying. I understand the injury to DD swung the gate open in the middle, but there has been absolutely no progression on the line.

If I had to bet, Marrone is less likely to stick around for 2022 than BOB. He offers little in recruiting too, at least BOB can say "Tom Brady" and kids listen.

maybe i'm wrong on this, but! it seems to me this version of bama has been coached more like a pro team than a college team. when herbie and fowler were talking last night about BoB telling them how BY shows up on practice week telling BoB what they should do with the gameplan. that smells of an oc thats just skating by. has the NIL put these kids in charge and relegated the coaches to little more than a caretaker/baby sitter/yes man to the players? i wouldnt be surprised to see this past years number one recruiting class be decimated as soon as the portal opens back up.

Does anyone think Saban makes some staff changes after the season?
