He seemed nice enough in his interview. Doesnt seem like a prima donna. I guess he expects to be an instant starter. Thats fine if thats his choice, just should try a smaller school with less competition like "No chest" found in Cinci.

I wouldn't think he was expecting to be an instant starter with Kessler the returning starter and USC signing the top QB the year before him. Guessing it's just a bad fit.
Seeing more and more EE's transfer before their freshmen year

Be interesting to see where he winds up

Chris Black tweeted that he is almost to 100%

I would be very interested in learning Coker's Wonderlic score if he ever takes it. If it's similar to Oscar Davenport's, no amount of wasted reps is ever going to make him "get it."

Do people think he's stupid or something? QB is something you either get or you don't. No one can teach you to be one of the greats, IMO. If he just doesn't have good decision making, it's more of an instinctual thing than an intelligence thing, again IMO.

I don't hate the guy. He actually seems likeable. However, I do think the ciaches have wasted a lot of valuable reps on him over the last 2 fall camps. Those reps could/should have gone to someone more viable.
Coker seems to be able to do just enough to make the coaches keep clinging to hope. It's time to let it go, Saban & pals.

ok. so instead of meaning, "i wish he wasnt on the team," what you really meant was "i wish the coaches knew as much about the quarterback situation as GumpDyke."

I mean what I said...I wish the coaches would move on and give his reps to one of the younger guys.

The first time we have BAD QB play under Saban, I might start worrying more. But, for now, I'm going to assume we're getting a lot of coach speak and a lot of overreactions to practice stats, and that the coaches just aren't sure which will be the BEST QB for the team yet.

next year
Why do so many posters keep worrying about next year? When did we become the Chicago Cubs? Next year isn't our year, every year is our year. You don't know how this season is gonna play out. All 5 QBs might get playing time, you have no clue what will happen. But you want to throw away this season to start focusing on next? GTFO

Agreed, we are Bama we don't play for next year. That's for loser programs. We have been in the natty hunt late in the season every year since 2007. Nobody thought we would do jack with Sims last year and we won the SECC and got the 1 seed in the playoffs. With our talent and coaching, each and every year has the potential to be a championship year, period. If Coker is the best option this year, we go with Coker. Screw next year at this point, we can worry about that next February.

The sky is falling syndrome. The fans expect perfection. I am not overly concerned. Our D is stacked and we have enough weapons on O that if our OL can control the line any of the 5 could get us to Atlanta and beyond. No real difference than in 09.
