Completely agree. It has to be expected that we were going to take a step back and that we'd lose a lot of players due to their association with a coach(es) and not the school. That is just the way it is now. We will grab some from the portal too. Maybe, just maybe, the DC and defensive staff we have coming in will make the defense better regardless of who is back there. We've had countless 5 stars on the defense for the past umpteen years and they have looked completely lost for the past 5 or 6 years. Let the new staff do their jobs and freak out later if it's not going well.

No. It is stupid for a coach whose livelihood depends on winning to take a principled stand against this bullshite, but I am not sacrificing my money that I could use to buy things for my own kids so that it can go to some dipshit teenager I don't know who is going to take it and run. With Brian Kelly and LSU they have made an effort to just focus on Louisiana kids and put their NIL into those in state players. We need to do the same in Alabama now. Frick the barn.

I think Deboer has shown he's able to do more with less at all of his coaching stops. It sucks losing really talented players, but we have a coach and staff that is used to making the most out of the guys they have.

It’s today’s reality. We have a large number of as Josh Pate put it, trust fund fans. They’ve just expected us to win the title every year.

When we do they puff out their chests and brag, when we don’t they run around with their hair on fire screaming coach is washed up and is Dabo, or whoever else is the hot name is available.

I’m tired of telling them to grow the frick up. It’s past time they did and figure out everything in life isn’t easy, to really appreciate it you have to work for it.

Those of us over 60 when it comes to this game really learned that the hard way.

What's really getting lost in all this is that the most important position on the field remains intact. So far, the only quarterbacks who have transferred are the ones who wouldn't have started.
