also refereed to as 4K for some reason. Ultra HD sounds so much more awesome.

That was such a great game with such a sad event.

This game and the LSU game this past year had two of the best atmospheres in BDS. Just electric.

Some times I wish Verne would just go die. The "throat slash", is not literally meant as slashing the throat, but more of a "cut it out" or "no".

I was in the stands and that is the loudest I have ever heard BDS from start to finish. I don't think we ever sat down during the entire game.

Was a great day other than the loss of Prothro.

Agree. I was in the east upper deck and me and buddy standing right next to each other couldnt hear each other at times. That stadium was extremely loud the whole time.

And now, to make everyone feel older, this game happened almost 9 years ago...

One of the best gamedays I have ever been a part of. You couldn't hear anything from beginning to end in the student section. I couldn't talk until the following Wednesday.

First offensive play from scrimmage: Croyle to Prothro - 87 yards for a TD.

LINK

We never looked back after that.

His remark pissed me off too. Like the gator chomp isn't a violent gesture in itself and yet he didn't comment on it, just the slash throat.

I remember looking back on this game in the middle of the depressing 2006 season and openly wondering if that was as good as it was ever going to get for us.

Glad to know with hindsight that it was just a harbinger of things to come.

I rewatched that play so many times back in 2005 I still have Verne's play call memorized word for word

My friends make fun of me because I have Eli Gold's call to the Yeldon screen pass against LSU memorized. I watch it about 5 times each gameday morning to get pumped up.
