They 23-1 when scoring 21+ points.

What else is there to say?

Nothing. Wonder what Saban's record in similar games is?

There was a game at Arky we won like 14-13. Was the Blake Sims year if I recall. UT in 2009. USCe we won scoring 20 that year. 2015 UT we won 19-14. I’m sure 5here are some others.

We got owned on TOP yesterday. Goes both ways, but you can't let a team run off 10 min in one drive.

Bishop was falling forward 3 yards after contact because our defense was weak as pond water (gassed)

4th and 1, stacked box, plows through for five yards.

That’s just players getting manhandled, not getting out schemed.

Right. Tenner wasn't running 10 minute drives in the 1st half.

BAMA's offense was a hot bowl of slaw yesterday.

Say what you want about CKW, but allowing 20ppg (19.1 since 2024) and just like this year, tops in the nation in forcing turnovers.

Allow 20 ppg but allow the opposing team to hold the ball the entire game because you can’t get a stop is not good.

Quite often they have 4 on the line, 2 LB's and 5 DB's.

SI story looking back at Grubb’s tenure in Seattle and his firing.

Oof. I hadn't seen this but my lord is it concerning.

DeBoer better be ready to let him walk after this season or Grubb will be walking with him in the next.

Yeah I found that and went “Whoa.”

I don’t think Macdonald wanted him to run Walker 25 times a game like someone said … and Walker like their entire running game wasn’t THAT much better in 2025 with Grubb gone … but he wanted Grubb to get him involved in the offense so teams wouldn’t lay their ears back and try to kill Geno because they knew what was coming, but Grubb flat wouldn’t do it.

Macdonald said he sat down FACE TO FACE on THREE occasions to the point of giving Grubb an ultimatum to run their elite RB 25 times a game and he said that Grubb never changed even slightly, and after their 2nd meeting he made up his mind he was firing him the day after the season ended.

The difference?

Macdonald and Grubb didn't have a prior relationship. DeBoer and Grubb are buddies.

That SI article is a devastating read. The parallels between his Seahawks tenure and here are uncanny. Unfortunately I don’t ’think DeBoer has the balls McDonald had.to fire him.

Again...DeBoer can fire one assistant, or he can get them all fired.

S&C needs to go also, but that's another story.

I’ll put it this way:
Name ONE game in the SEC that the defense was responsible for losing after he changed to a 3-4 Under week 5 of 2024 after the Vandy loss?

Side Note:
And that’s with having a COMPLETELY inept/abomination of an offense than cannot sustain drives and take ANY time of the clock and constantly put them in terrible field position.

If not for the defense in the first half we would have lost by 4 or 5 TDs. The 2nd half they were the only group playing as the offense could not stay on the field.

Grubb is gone at the end of the year, he's already checked out.

He hasn’t run a 4-2-5 in 2.5 years

You get 1 downvote for being logical.

I get 27 downvotes, but they still cannot answer the question:

What SEC game has the defense been at fault for losing after Wommack switched to a 3-4 Under and ditched the 4-2-5 after the Vandy loss in year 1 and they went on to finish 9th in the country in Scoring defense.

Since then, they are either 1st or 2nd in the SEC in Total D, Scoring D, and forcing turnovers since 2024

ANYONE in this thread, can you PLEASE just name ONE SEC game that the defense was the reason they lost?

They haven’t allowed 30 points even once in the past 21 SEC games.

SEC opponents we have faced and their avg points per game on the season:

UGA 55 points
Tenn 40 points
UK 35 points
USC 39 points
MSU 43 points

Our defense has done a great job keeping them well below their average. Not the defenses fault the offense and offensive play calling has provided no help.

The numbers don’t lie and it’s hard to argue that point. The problem is Kane falls under guilty by association at the moment. Cooler heads normally prevail and winning fixes everything.

DeBoer needs to win out and at the end of the season cut bait with Grubb’s regardless.

I am not blaming one side or the other bc it all works together . You can say well we held them to X amount of points but if you are giving up long drives ( even if they end in FGs) it limits the number of possessions the offense has and we are very young on offense . Going into this season, if you asked me or pretty much anyone, what the strength of our team was going to be , most would say defense and more particularly , the secondary . It just hasn’t seemed like that is the case . Giving a young QB in his 2nd start big cushions /easy throws and then failure to take proper angles and poor tackling I think is what bothers most people . Saw a stat that we had 35 missed tackles in the UT game. That is unacceptable at Bama , especially with 3 players (Hubbard, Brown and Lee) who most thought would garner All conference /AA honors . O’Neal and Lee had some piss poor efforts on a couple of plays that was just embarrassing . Thompkins was just jogging behind one play yesterday and if I am not mistaken , it was the 1st qtr . Stats can be very misleading . We have given up 200 yds rushing I think twice and allowed Bishop 159yds yesterday . The eyes will tell you we are not playing nearly as well as we should be. Not starting an argument but I think most people just expected a better product on that side of the ball this year than we have produced so far
