I loved CNS and will always treasure the memories but those days are gone forever with NIL. The landscape has changed so much, NIL can dramatically improve a team overnight (e.g. Texas Tech). It’s really difficult if not impossible to go undefeated in the SEC anymore.
My personal opinion is there’s still a bit of a learning curve for CKD in terms of what will work in the SEC and what won’t. I also think he’s going to replace the offensive line into a quicker more athletic group. The days of these 340 lb O linemen is over after this year.

Not totally. Our defense still has issues. Busting coverages over and over. And number 3 is total arse.

What is DeBoer bringing ?

HOWEVER, is anyone going to argue that our nobody DC isn't outperforming our 10 million a year HC ? The defense has its shite together.
I mean this with all due respect to the team, but the fact that they’ve made it this far is remarkable considering their deficiencies. The offensive line in particular just isn’t good. Without a good OL, the entire offense suffers.
Parker is a great player, especially when he’s healthy. Proctor is hit or miss in pass pro (more hit), but some of his downfield blocking is rough.
These are the guys DeBoer has. He’s rotated in guys all season to try to find the best fits, but they’re all mostly just average.

The number of idiotic decisions DeBoer makes are infuriating, especially when posters on this board can point them out before the game even starts.
Not telling your team to fair catch every kickoff return, punting with 18 seconds left on the play clock, not being prepared for QB run when all of us and all of ESPN expected Mateer to run the ball as the main additional OU wrinkle that they hadn’t used much of the season, etc., etc., etc. They happen in almost every game, and our team has to constantly overcome his bad coaching. He’s clearly good at lots of things, but situational awareness and little preparation details are way, way below average for top program coaches.

Considering we had to run a play with like 2:03 left on the clock when they had no timeouts left that could have really come back to bite us in the arse. We actually ended up giving them almost an extra minute to work with because of that. Our special teams have been atrocious all season.

You act like hes playing a video game, controlling everything. Thats not how this all works. Do you really think he told the punt team to snap the ball with 20 seconds left on play clock? Do you really think that a coach should have to tell your players to drain the clock in that situation. The players fricked up...it happens. Do you think Saban was nannying his players about stupid shite like that? No he just chewed their asses out when they did and they didnt do it again. Deboer probably did that
You may have a good idea that the QB is gonna run...the players probably do too...but other teams have good players who make good plays sometimes even when you have a good idea whats coming.
If you think Deboer is a bad coach and just is somehow lucking into playoff wins, multiple wins over Sark, Lanning, Kirby...I just dont know what to tell you. Youre delusional for sure but im not gonna be able to talk you out of that level of delusional.

Yeah, Scotty is the simplest of the simple jacks.
Dude pours crimson Kool-Aid on his cereal every morning. There is zero chance he played organized ball of any kind beyond peewee

You got down voted to hell because we won, but had we lost it would be applauded.

“Im you were”?
Brother, I’ve had middle school coaches in 3 different sports be more detailed oriented and better situationally than DeBoer. Some of us have coached, played, and/or refereed at different levels of the game and understand what can be coached vs. what can’t. When to snap the ball on a punt is 100% controllable by the head coach…starting at about 5th grade.

Solid post, Narddogg.
Thank you for contributing.
I know, right. Succinct and straight to the point, no wall of nonsense text.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, I wouldn’t dream of censoring anyone even if I think what they are posting is drivel, but so help me God if the anti-DeBoer crowd stay on this battlefront after we whip Indiana … we are going to win that game … I’m going to have a stroke. I really think they’ll still be here if we run the table and win the big trophy … and I think we can take Oregon or Texas Tech too … because he simply isn’t their style, there’s nothing that can change that and they’ll still be looking for a Saban clone until hell freezes over.
