Did Saban seriously whine about Auburn lining up the punter at WR?

There was less than 0% chance Gus was going for it on 4th down.

He’s severely frustrated and to me that’s the scariest part of the whole damn thing. If the normally unflappable Saban is having to resort to this then we really are in deep shite.

The keyword in what he said was "substituted". If the offense substitutes then the defense is supposed to be allowed the opportunity as well.
If that wasn't allowed, it's an unfair play that wasn't by the rules.

Nah, I expect our coach to man up and discuss our effort, not complain about shite like that.
And, he basically said we should be given some "leeway" aka bend the rules because it was weird and different. We got schemed. Saying it was unfair is dogshite.

If you listen to all of it, he was referring to Bama not being allowed enough time to substitute after the offense substituted by bringing in the punter.

And then at the end said technically it was right but the move was unorthodox and he thinks we should have gotten some "leeway". Again, his argument is that it was quirky and we got caught with our pants down so we should get "leeway".
