It's not hard to recruit to Washington. Sarkisian did it just fine

I’m a huge Sark fan but he never broke the top 15 in recruiting at UW.

Rivals UW Team Rank by Year (Sark)
2009: 68
2010: 28
2011: 23
2012: 21
2013: 18

UW Recruiting under DeBoer (247)
2022: 95 (late hire)
2023: 26
2024: 38

So chucking their first classes which were impacted by their transition, Sark averaged 22.5 and DeBoer is at 32.

Deboer is kind of proven too. His HC record is 104 and 12, he won 3 D2 national championships in 5 years at Sioux Falls.

Id rather have Sark, Kiffin, or Dabo, but I’d put Deboer 4th, over Norvell. He would be a good hire I think.

I'd take the roll on DeBoer over Norvell also. Norvell seemed like a chode.

The guy has been a winner every where he’s been, is well thought of in terms of “X”s and”O”s, and from what I’ve heard, he’s a decent man.

If you want some kind of “guarantee”, buy a toaster.

At least he's a coach. I still can't get over the list posted last night that some site was giving odds on Ha-Ha getting the job.

Saban had never been a coach in the south til LSU hired him

That’s a valid point but Saban could win literally anywhere. He’s that special of a coach. Also it’s not like WV is that culturally different than the South.

Not saying DeBoer couldn’t be successful here, but don’t think the comparison works.

Let’s talk about Sark for an hour and get his odds improved.

I don’t like a coach that doesn’t have relationships already with south’s high school coaches. Of course he can hit the ground running to build those quickly and we do have a loaded roster that would score a ton with his system.

The first and most important recruits the new coach will have are already on campus. Stability there and the recruiting will follow.

I laughed at that. I think they were giving Mike Shula and Derek Dooley better odds than Ha Ha. Lol.

Very interesting Sark being in second place.

I just wonder how grateful exactly he is for the opportunities UA and CNS gave him while everybody was kicking him while he was down ?

I mean maybe there's a chance. I didn't even list him because I thought it was a pure pipe dream, but if Sark is in play he's obviously No.1A to Kiffins 1B (Kirby will die at uga unless he goes NFL. In fact I'm shocked the Falcons have not tried to hire him.

I’m kind of surprised Chris Kliemann (K-State’s coach) isn’t even listed as a long shot. He’d better than some of these goobers listed.I would take him over James Franklin.

He has pretty much nothing to work with at K-State and yet his teams play hard and are fundamentally sound. They had Texas on the ropes this year.

Completely disagree. Kiffin would kill it at Bama.

Great coach but I have concerns

It’s just a completely different job going from a school that’s a pain in the arse to the traditional power to the traditional power itself

There's no reason why it can't.

And who knew that about Saban when he was at MSU? We may learn that about DeBoer. DeBoer has a conference championship and a semifinal win under his belt.

And Lanning was yesterday. Vegas doesn’t know shite. When Byrnes ready he’ll announce, likely tomorrow assuming he has been in this prior to announcement so that we can keep the portal from becoming a disaster and hold on to the new recruits this year

Yall are way too hung up on recruiting. Its hard to recruit to Washington...because there are no players there. You could recruit just the state of Alabama and field and average SEC team

Pretty much.

Nobody knew that until he was winning the SEC at LSU.
