I’m back - kinda.

I preface this by saying I like Daniel Hill as a player, his short yardage ability, catching out of the backfield, and blocking are first rate - and make him a welcome and valuable player on this team.

I know that he has lost some weight but his cutting ability leaves a lot to be desired. There was a play late in the game where he gained 12 yards, any other RB on our team maybe would’ve taken that to the house. I know he isn’t in there for ball security because he’s lost a few of those this year.

Brown didn’t have the best day yesterday, but teams have to be keying on him when he’s in the game. Riley barely saw the field.

Crowell and Dear missed due to injury.

I just feel that maybe it’s time for him to be that specialty guy only - it will change the dynamic of the offense on 1st and 2nd down when you’re not in a specific pass only mode. We had way too many 2nd and 3rd and longs yesterday where he had to stay in.

Not having #13 shows. Not having Dear shows.

Maybe we just had to have him in there more yesterday, but I just feel that he is not an every down back.

Pretty sure Dear is available. He's just not any good.

Hill is the only RB on the roster who isn't a disaster in pass protection while also being the least talented runner. It's a problem. We need a new voice in the RB room IMO. Gillespie isn't pulling his weight and never really has.

Dear has been fully dressed for weeks now. He’s buried.

Old guy in front of me kept saying “when we kept AK Dear back” and he was looking right at him 20 yards in front of us as he said it

Traeshawn had a good block yesterday

Hill is very good at pass blocking.

None of our RBs are perfect.

Here's an Idea, and just here me out-

2 backs in the back field. Crazy, I know.

All I know is that our 1 yard first down runs are drive killers.

It seems we are always in this mode. If we can pry the scripted plays from Grubbs tiny hands, we should be able to run the ball better.

We ran multiple times on 1st and 2nd down and got no more than 3 yards total. It’s tough looking at 3 and 7 or more.

Woah. That's like orgasmic level seeing two backs in the backfield.

Too bad our OC is unimaginative.

It has become clear the last 3 games that he has solidified himself as a very integral piece to this Alabama offense having consistent drives.

I apologize for that mouthful of a sentence.

I hope Grubb saw how nice it is to have a safety valve with Hill out there. We need to add more of those if it’s possible. Keelon gets pressured a good bit and gets out of them. Give him some options to throw to more often.
