The Marrone thing, assuming he wants to do it, connects about 1,000 dots.

Can you imagine us replacing our OC and OL coach with 2 NFL head coaches who went to multiple playoffs?

Sark might circle back to Golding or might retain Chris Ash as DC.

I expect the OL coach to have some sort of tie like this. The OC and OL coach are critical and I expect O’Brien wants a lot of input there.

I’ve poured over connections and Key and Marrone make a lot of sense to me.

Worked out well with Sark and Flood

Dammit! Now your getting my hopes up on getting Marrone.

The dots really do connect with this. This would be yet another homerun hire.

Uhhhh, dammit!

LOL yea, it makes sense why there'd be mutual interest and an interview or sit down talk.

But clearly there is a lot more to him deciding to do it. But, I didn't think there was any way BoB wanted to do this, so what the hell hahaha

I am starting to believe now that Ash will be retained. If it was going to be Golding, I would think he would've been interviewed before Lanning. I just have a feeling that Saban was getting pissed off at Sark about Banks, so Sark decided to go elsewhere so he doesn't burn that bridge any further. I definitely could be wrong, but that is my gut feeling at the moment.

ETA: Or this is some 4D chess move that somehow was intended to send Golding to UT and Lanning to Bama. Although I don't know why Sark would need to interview Lanning first.

Two 50 something year old best friends that were both recently fired headed back to college. Sounds like a solid buddy comedy.

A month ago I would've never even considered BoB as OC and/or Doug Marrone as OL coach, yet here I am on Friday night hoping it happens.

I would still rather have Stoutland back as OL coach, but Marrone seems like it would be pretty dang solid too.

I like the idea of the Tino promotion.

Y'all are just setting yourselves up for disappointment .

And imma just say Schumann is becoming the new Steve Forbes candidate. Ok, ok, much more of a connection to Alabama with Schumann, but I think the posters here at secrant.com - Alabama Sports Board are going to have to will this into existence for it to have any shot at happening.

I’m going to be really upset if we don’t get Stoutland. Really got my hopes up on that. I need to block Bruce Feldman if it doesn’t happen.

We will find out in 48 hours probably, Marshall is down to just Huff and Brad Lambert(current Marshall DC) now. They interviewed today and the board couldn't come to a decision other than Louisville's OC is out as a candidate.

Damn I thought the Louisville OC was going to be the stiffest competition for Huff.
