IMO he's doing a great job... Yeah the FSU and Indiana losses stung but when we take a step back and look at everything contextually, I think we're in good hands...
We're bigger, stronger, he's recruiting some MONSTER QB's and I FIRMLY believe that the running game will be much improved.... It won't be the old Saban ground and pound but it will be serviceable and the AIR ATTACK is going to be LETHAL....

You'll trigger some retards with this one but those are the people who think women just shite out Nick Saban-esque coaches every hour while a coach that has won 20 games in two seasons (which includes 2 wins over Kirby, a playoff appearance and a winning record against our three main rivals) is the worst coach in the history of the world.

The next ten years are going to be rough as no coach will be able to satisfy this fanbase.

DeBoer will win a natty here soon.

Getting top QBs surrounded by all this talent will lead to good things

All things considered we could be in a much worse spot post-Saban. Recruiting maintaining was a huge question and they’re killing it there.

Yeah, recruiting has been good on the balance. They've missed on a few guys where it was clear that we just got a bag dropped on a guy who wanted to be here otherwise. Can't really blame them for those misses because that is going to happen sometimes in this era. Interesting that Ty Haywood got back onboard after one year in Ann Arbor. Probably says something about the relationship building this staff does.

I was a DeBoer hater, but I honestly think I couldn't get over the change in scheme. We had a coach for 20 damn years who did things the same and it was hard to let go.

Great coach but disagree. Even Saban had gotten away from the physicality that made Bama great. It looks like DeBoer is attempting to bring that back to a degree but Bama will never be what they were from a physicality standpoint like the Saban teams from 2008-2017. It seems when we went to QBs like Tua, Bama became more QB dependent instead of being team dependent.

I agree he changed towards the end, but he still had that standard and his demeanor. He did lax up a bit, but with Saban there was a security that you knew he wasnt going to slip below 10 wins.

With DeBoer, theres obviously a little fallout so we havent experienced the uncertainty in a long time.

I do believe in his scheme with the right personell though.

Too early to say for sure, but I think school is still out on DeBoer. The way they played in several games got me wondering. No energy or not physical enough makes me wonder about how tough his teams will ever be. I went to the Citrus bowl when Michigan won. Michigan was a bad team that wanted the game more than Alabama. Pregame warmups told me they were not focused. No life on Alabama side and enthusiasm by the Michigan squad. I don't even want to think about some of the other bad performances. I think extending his contract was a dumb move. Doing this sent the message you are very pleased with him. How can you be at this point considering the really awful loses he has incurred?

i also do not agree with the extension. but then again, i didnt agree with so much of his original contract being guaranteed. fortunately, i'm not on the hook for any of that money. welp, guess i'm just pissn in the wind.

I don't agree with ANY of these football contracts...for years they've been too one sided with ridiculous buyout clauses with ADs bending over for agents like every coach is Nick Saban. Pay them whatever you want, but nothing should be guaranteed beyond 1 year's salary.

That being said, I'm glad DeBoer is our coach. Outside of Kirby there isn't a coach in the SEC better to me...and he's 2-1 against Kirby.

But the reality is that this is Alabama...the premiere all-time program in the sport. DeBoer won't be fully embraced by fans until he brings Bama a national championship.

Nick Saban wasn't exactly thought of as "Nick Saban" by fans after that 2007 loss to La-Monroe.

But he did manage to redeem himself lol.

The thing is, he may well win a natty here, but Alabama fans have to realize that even in the season that he wins it all, he’s going to lose one or more games and at least one of them will be an ugly, ugly loss. That’s just part of the deal with the new college football and the players coaches it has created. Vintage hard arse Saban never loses 38-3. Vintage players buddy DeBoer is going to do that on the regular and we just have to adjust and accept it.
