His commitment in July is worth as much as toilet paper then...someone will swoop in and drop a bigger bag. That's his prerogative and just a part of the business now. If we really want him then may want to be the last one to dance with his representation.

Napier might be fired by then. He bought himself some time with a strong finish last year, but their schedule is brutal and it could be 5 win territory pretty quickly.

KJ would be a nice addition to the class but I hope the focus is retaining everyone we have on board already and adding Tank Jones. Anything more than that is gravy on top.

I like that the staff is not getting complacent now that all these kids are committed to us, with Courtney Morgan recently stating that this is a round the clock effort by the entire staff at this point to maintain these strong relationships and get these recruits to campus. Courtney, DeBoer & Co. have done an incredible job of adapting to the cutthroat business that is SEC football recruiting.

It is a strong year to be recruiting in Alabama too...big part of it...there are simply more Alabama HS athletes who are University of Alabama caliber athletes in 2025.

It helps that Auburn is no threat whatsoever and is a far afterthought

Next year also, 3 top 75ish players in Mobile area alone

Rather convenient that our last two coaching changes happened during golden eras for in-state recruitment.

Bama blogger say Florida upped their NIL for this guy by $800K and Bama doesn't want to match it.

Absolutely insane. I know, I know, these kids are in essence being paid but we’re talking insane numbers for kids who have never played one snap of college football. It’s nuts.

Not going to be too upset about not signing this one if that's the case. I'd much rather go all in for Tank Jones while still trying to land a second qb and potentially flipping that tackle committed to Georgia Tech.

Think of the amount of arse kissing that went on to get the boosters to pony up another $800k for this kid.

I bet Morgan is laughing his butt off right now knowing he caused a $800k pay increase for this guy

$800k…on top of whatever the original deal was.
That is crazy. If true, it makes Florida’s program look desperate.

High school players making more the NFL minimum is crazy work.

This is why House hasn't really fixed all that much. The wages need to be collectively bargained into sanity and the NIL deals need to just be State Farm, Ford, etc.

It's not at all sustainable. I'm a little surprised no one has really gone for broke and sued the NCAA over athletics eligibility restrictions generally. Whether or not it's a sound legal theory, why not try? The NCAA is batting worse than Michael Harris lately. Why does the NCAA get to decide that you can't play college sports at 32 when you're clearly pursuing your 3rd master's degree before you plan on enrolling in law school before retiring from academics.
