If they did that, they’d still be pretty dang good. But here’s the thing. Lanning and his staff know the south, have coached here, and know that by and large there are more good players here than other regions of the country. Tuscaloosa is a region where landing more than your fair share of players will result in a championship-level roster. And Alabama didn’t accomplish that in this cycle. It will show up on the fiield. Bet on that.

Is a top 5 class considered not landing a fair share of players? They look pretty good to me

You registered in 2017, have hardly posted at all, and now you are harping with all this bs?

Not a single player in the top 247 from the Tuscaloosa area. Only 5% of the top 247 are even from the state of AL.
Is anything you said able to be backed up with data? Being a liar is one thing, but being a lazy liar is just pathetic

Alabama's dominance in college football is about geography but it is not strictly the Alabama state recruiting pool. It is that we are The Heart of Dixie. Alabama has a central position in the region and it is easy for us to reach out into the surrounding states for talent.

Feagans and Derek Smith I think were misses. The CB that went to Oregon never liked Bama even when Saban was here and you have the number 2 QB in the country so KJ Lacey was not a take either. People need to relax and let’s see what DeBoer and the team do the next couple of years. If he’s still struggling in state next year when there’s home grown talent then maybe there’s need for concern.

Bama was behind the 8 ball with Fegans due to his brother busting out at Bama

Recruits Bama is terrible. They just take behind the paywall info from BOL, On3, etc and try to pass it off as insider knowledge. Basically another version of Ricky Green.

It’s insider information. It’s inside another site’s message board or paywall. LOL

With just 1.5% of the nations population, your data indicates that Alabama is disproportionally densely populated with elite football players and should be recruited heavily.
While I don't give a shite which one of you wins this argument, you're an idiot who doesn't understand how to interpret his own data.

You would have a point if we heavily recruited New Mexico and Utah but we don’t. So Alabama’s blue chip rate relative to the US doesn’t mean anything, you need to compare it to actual recruiting grounds

These is a glaring reading comprehension problem on this board. I responded to to poster talking about a "500 mile radius" around Eugene, OR. So my "Tuscaloosa region" mention refers to a 500-mile radius around Tuscaloosa. Not the city limit boundaries.
Here's a fact most of youn simply won't admit, or perhaps the ignorance is more widespread that even I know. Alabama has whiffed and whiffed on so many top DLs in recent years, and the 2025 class is no exception. There was ONE high school DL signed, and some have rumored that he may not even qualify. The other one is a JUCO. Kelby Collins has underperformed his recruiting ranking and now Bama is counting on a turnaround from him. Based on what we've gotten used to from most of the recent DL signings, Collins is a perfect fit.
You can keep spinning the prioritizing recruiting outside of the traditional boders, but when the cows come home my assessment will look a lot more prescient.
