I think Keelon is gonna position himself in the Spring, get lots of reps in the summer, and then win the job in the fall.

KR will be by far the most talented QB on the roster

We've heard this about every highly rated kid we've signed since Tyler Watts.

Good Lord. We’ve said this about every back up QB since at least Phillip Simms was gonna take AJ Mccarrons job.

I quit paying attention to Forrest Davis when I heard him say on the radio that Tyler Watts was the best HS qb he'd seen since Peyton Manning.

I was religious about recruiting when I was a kid.
Use to call recruiting hotlines and all kinds of shite.
One year, he had Chris Anderson as a top 50 high school senior player from the south.
Except he was a freshman at Alabama.

He also said on his weekly radio show that Tyler was NFL ready in terms of pocket and game awareness and when to leave the pocket. I was headed west on 20/59 between Fairfield and Bessemer. My eyes almost popped out of my head. It was ‘97 or ‘98 or so I guess and Alabama was hoping to improve on its 7-5 type seasons. A quarter of a century ago.

I guess Forrest was trying to provide a little hope for forlorn Alabama fans. It usually worked. Brodie was next, “Maybe as good as Namath”.

To be fair, Brodie did have a bazooka for an arm and was very accurate. Trouble was, he was a little guy and had probably the worst O line in Alabama history blocking or trying to block for him. He was kind of like Archie Manning was when he played for the Saints. Took vicious lick after vicious lick and not surprisingly, Brodie couldn't take those licks.

Do you think we need a shifty scat back for this offense? Like a Jahymr Gibbs type

I thought the guy (Jace Clarizio) would've been just what the doctor ordered.

We need backs with better vision and lateral/short space movement. I feel like our backs don't see the cut backs, can't find the space. If that is a scat back so be it, but any most backs can have most or all of that. It would help to have better line play. We also need to figure out how to keep our guys healthy

We have to get some OL that are lighter and quicker on their feet to run the type of rushing game DeBoer prefers. For example, guards that are quick and can pull. Brailsford, at center, should be coming back, but the LG position will be open. Our tackles HAVE to get better. The OL recruit Carroll may start as a true freshman. I am interested to see what we do in the portal, also, regarding OL and DL.

He should've waited until he got them to do that imo.

Florida DE Kelby Collins plans to enter the Transfer Portal, possibly tomorrow.

He's originally from Gardendale and was a Freshman All-American two years ago.
