DT and True DE is where we seem to be lagging. I know I'll get down voted from here to Jupiter but it's true. Yes, Bama might could pick one up in the portal but last Spring, good/quality defensive linemen were few and far between.
Personally, given our current circumstances, I'd hope Bama would take a long look at these guys:
Zavion Hardy-the #1 ranked JUCO player. 6-5, 270 lbs. He's not commited to anyone yet.
Iose Epenesa-DE out of Edwardsville, IL. 5 star DE who is currently uncommitted. He's about the only one who is NOT committed. Very disruptive as a DE. Strong, quick. I'd mentioned this guy a couple of weeks ago and some scoffed that "we don't recruit Illinois". bullshite. Bama recruits EVERYWHERE. I think it's worth a shot seeing if he might be interested.
I'd love to land Justus Terry but according to everything I've read/seen, that's a pipe dream and that he's all UGA.

He is and will probably stay in the B10. Deboer staff while at UW offered him. He also play TE.
But not sure why people are fixated on only 5 stars to get us to the promise land.

Just went to this place in Tuscaloosa. Didn’t see any recruits except for Antonio Coleman. What a bust of a weekend.

Not "fixated" but let's be honest, DT and DE are the only position(s) where this class is a bit thin in. Losing Coleman hurts but not if we get at least one good one to replace him. Gotta win in the trenches on both side of the ball and right now, the DT-DE commits are kind of projects.
Both of the guys I mentioned would fill a real need nicely. If you can think of another recruit that Bama can flip, I'm all ears.

Very few DT and DE are impact players as a FR or even So, so these are needs that the portal can still fix. Not that worried.
A great class is coming together either way.
